The word wormwood can only be compared in intensity with the word gall, it is extremely bitter, tough and harsh. Wormwood is an intensely bitter and poisonous plant Consequently, it is a symbol for whatever is nauseating and destructive. When a weapon is described as having the qualities of wormwood, it shows that it has bitter properties and grave consequences. Lamentations 3:15

The Bible speaks of a root that bears gall and wormwood. Deut 29:18

“Lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turneth away this day from the LORD our God, to go and serve the gods of these nations; lest there should be among you a root that beareth gall and wormwood;”

When this root is released into the enemy’s camp, all the power that have

ganged up against your life, progress and destiny will be forced to drink acidic, bitter, and deadly wormwood. Jer9:15

“Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will feed them, even this people,’ with wormwood, and give them water of gall to drink.”

This weapon is useful when you have a raw deal from the hands of household wickedness and you want to fight back. You need this weapon when you want to turn things upside down in the enemy’s camp. You need this weapon when you want to weaken the forces that are giving you a tough fight. You need this weapon when you want to inflict on the enemy, one devastating blow that will remain unforgettable. It is an appropriate weapon to use when you have had enough of bitter experiences and you want to silence the voice of oppression and put an end to shame and ignominy. The instrument can be used when you want to turn the tide and force eaters of flesh and drinkers of blood to eat their own flesh and drink their own blood. You can use this weapon when you want to sentence hidden wicked enemies to a biter end. Proverb 5:4
