The heavenly army is referred to in the scriptures as the host of heaven. God knows that we will fight lots of battles here on earth. He has, therefore, set Up battalions of soldiers in the spiritual realm. Hence, the heavenlies squad is always on standby ready to defend God’s interest and integrity at all times.

The host of heaven can be referred to as God’s elite army. They operate with mathematical precision and fight with the speed of lightening. God has not established the heavenly host in vain. They are stationed in the air ready to launch an offensive against the enemies of God and His children. God is the Commander in Chief of the spiritual army. Hence, He is referred to as the Lord of hosts. Psalm 80:4

“O LORD God of hosts, how long wilt thou be angry against the prayer of thy people?”

Psalm 59:5

“Thou therefore, O LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel, awake to visit all the heathen: be not merciful to any wicked transgressors. Selah.”

“O LORD God of hosts, who is a strong LORD like unto thee? or to thy faithfulness roundabout thee?”

VICTORIOUS SOLDIERS

Since God is the God of hosts who has never lost a battle, the heavenly soldiers constitute the strongest weapons that have been made available for us. The host of heaven are soldiers who serve in the courts of God. They are fearful and terrible. The Bible declares that these heavenly soldiers stand on the right and left hand of God. 2 Chro.18:18

“Again he said, Therefore hear the word of the LORD; I saw the LORD sitting upon his throne, and all the host of heaven standing on his right hand and on his left.”

AN INNUMERABLE HOST

The Bible also tells us that the host of heaven are innumerable. Jeremiah 33:22

“As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured: so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me”

When the battle becomes tough you can make use of the weapon of the host of heaven. When you are contending with powers that expand battles, the weapon of the host of heaven is the answer. When you draw the host of heaven into battle, you have automatically drawn the God of hosts into battle. Such a battle will surely be won and crowned with victory.

REAL WARFARE

There is no true Christianity without warfare. You cannot overcome dark powers without seeking for angelic assistance. You cannot experience victory without getting the host of heaven involved in your battles. Your deliverance cannot be complete until the host of heaven invades the cage of bondage and sets you free. This is a weapon we must begin to make use of in this generation.

The hosts of heaven have not been created by God to decorate the heavenly realm. Beloved, when you command the host of heaven to ordain terrifying

noises against the powers that have vowed that you will remain a permanent candidate in the school of bondage, there will be terrible uproar in the camp of the enemy. May God teach your hands to war and fingers to fight. May you be inspired and empowered to invite and draw the host of heaven into your battles!
