As many people have failed in life because they did not discover the secrets for success, the same way many have remained small because they have not discovered the secrets of greatness.

Secrets are powerful tools in the hands of those that possess them. Satan and his demons do not joke with secrets. Satan operates successfully against people and nations because of the secrets he has in his hands against them.

There are secrets behind success and failure. There are secrets behind smallness and greatness in life. Until you discover the secret behind your present status, you may remain in the same position for quite long.

You need to discover the secret behind your greatness if you are great already. You may wonder why? The reason is that you need to jealously guard the secrets if you want to rise from glory to glory and from greatness to greatness. Don’t be satisfied with just being great. You have not exhausted the full potentials of your destiny in greatness. The will of God for you is not mere relative and comparative greatness, but greatness in all its divinely intended fullness. If you don’t guard the secrets behind your greatness, you will begin to fall. It is tragic.

David was not only great in the middle of his ministry and life, he guarded the secrets behind his greatness and went on from greatness to greatness. His secret was that he steadily kept his heart after God.

1 Chron. 11:9: So David waxed greater and greater: for the Lord of hosts was with him.

The secrets behind Solomon’s greatness was the exclusive divine wisdom he received from God. He inherited a measure of greatness from David his father. He was not satisfied or complacent with the heritage of greatness that was devoid of personal fulfilment. He sought God and found divine favour.

The epoch of his life was the night God visited him with the gifts of wisdom, knowledge and understanding. His fame spread faster than the loudest ovation of his heritage from David. From around the kingdoms of the world, kings, queens and the who -is-who in the ancient world empires submitted their greatness to his superior greatness on account of his wisdom.

1 Kings 4:29-34: And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore. And Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt. For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about. And he spake three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five. And he spake of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall: he spake also of beasts, and of fowl, and of creeping things, and of fishes. And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.

The wisdom of Solomon noised his fame to the remotest parts of the world. His wisdom was the secret behind his greatness. He did not guard this secret for long. He corrupted his wisdom through immoral fellowship with outlandish women and multiplicity of forbidden marriages. From that height of greatness, things took a plunge and his once united kingdom was never anymore to be.

You can see the tragic turn in the history of Solomon’s greatness. As it takes conscious effort to discover the secret for greatness, it takes as much to keep them. You will discover golden secrets for greatness that will shoot you up from smallness as you read this book. I want to challenge and encourage you however that you should endeavour to keep the secrets.

John Wesley was a great man of God who was one of the few reformers and revivalist God used to change the spiritual course of this world. He laid the foundation of practical Christian holy living through unswerving emphasis on sanctification experience. The Methodists under his leadership recovered far-reaching ministerial successes than their contemporaries.

Somewhere in the ministry of this great man of God, he began to experience a drop in his spiritual output. Greatly worried and confused, he sought God earnestly to find out what was wrong. He subjected himself to strict self-examination, characteristic of the olden-day-Methodists. He did not discover anything personally wrong with himself. Leaving the rest in God’s hands, he went on praying to discover the secret as to why the fires of his evangelistic movement were gradually burning out. His discovery from God shocked his entire being.

God told him that the secret behind the success of his ministry had been lost. He seemed not to understand it at once. God insisted that the secret behind the success of his ministry had been taken away.

There was a woman in his ministry who spent her entire life interceding for him. As she prayed, John Wesley rose from success to success, breakthrough to breakthrough and from greatness to greatness. The woman had been doing that in secret. She was the secret behind the manifestation of the Methodists’ success known everywhere at that time.

But a time came, she grew old and died. From the moment that secret went to be with the Lord, the impact was naturally felt on the Wesleyan movements. If John Wesley had known her to be the secret of his ministry, he probably would have prayed for her to live much longer.

The point I am making is that you need to keep the secrets of greatness you are about to discover in this book.

The secrets for greatness may be in form of some simple truth, clear principles, or secrets personified in some individuals you cannot afford to toy with.

Some great Christian ministers have unknowingly removed key members, foundational pillars, unknown Aarons and Hurs and uncelebrated Deborahs from their ministries for one reason or the other. If they had known that these ones are the secrets behind their greatness, they would never have tampered with them.

Discover the secrets and keep them, you will prosper and go on prospering, in Jesus’ name.

Secrets are very deep and powerful weapons. Many have written the stories of their lives from failure to success. Many have changed from their despicable status of smallness to greatness because they discovered the secrets behind greatness.

You cannot predict the measure of goodness, breakthroughs, successes, greatness etc. you are about to experience as soon as you discover the secrets behind them.

Picture a house full of everything you ever need in life. See the keys to open the door to these treasures. With the keys in your hands, you don’t have to wander about, cry or become fidgety. What you need to do is to patiently discover which key among the set of keys will grant you access to the treasures.

The secrets of greatness which you are reading in this book are the keys to open the door for you to possess your possession.

1 Chron. 4:9: And Jabez was more honourable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bare him with sorrow.

The story about Jabez you have just read shows a small man who discovered the secrets for greatness and became great. His example is very important as a foundation to the entire discoveries in this chapter. He was born small. His smallness was further limited by the name he was given. The name means sorrow, a mixture of sorrow and smallness in the destiny of any man is terrible, especially when compared with his brothers in the same Scripture. He was conceived in sorrow and delivered in bitterness. His destiny was shapened in smallness and on the day of his naming ceremony, sorrow was the officiating minister. But this man discovered a secret.

1 Chron. 4:10: And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.

Jabez knew the God of Israel with whom there are no impossibilities. People commonly say that it is not what you know, but who you know in life that matters. The truth beyond this is that you haven’t known anything yet if you have not known the good news of the man of Galilee called Jesus. And you have not known anybody to help you enough, if you are yet to know and submit to the God of heaven.

Jabez discovered the secret that with God all things are possible. He applied the truth he knew as seen in the wordings of his request to God. Heaven hearkened to him

and his name was changed from sorrow to joy, his status from small to great and his light from dullness to brightness.

Daniel 11:32: And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.

There is no stationary level of greatness. You can turn the key of greatness and move on from one place to another. You are yet to reach your full potential of greatness even now at your best moments.

Many Bible characters discovered the secrets behind greatness and some of them were not satisfied with just being great. They rose from one level of greatness to another. Mordecai was a good example of such. God is about to promote you to another level of greatness. Get ready!!

Esther 9:4: For Mordecal was great in the king’s house, and his fame went out throughout all the provinces: for this man Mordecal waxed greater and greater.

The Psalmist knew the secret for greatness. He understood very well that the God of heaven and earth is behind true greatness. In his prayers and songs, he expressed faith in God, that he would rise from greatness to greatness.

When God begins to reveal His greatness in your life, you will suddenly discover that there is no limit to how great you can ever become.

Psalm 71:2l: Thou shalt increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side.

Greatness is used to describe the lives, status, qualities and possessions of people throughout Bible days. The same is true of contemporary times. The school of greatness is so wide and broad that there is room for everyone who dares to be great.

Like a swimmer in a mighty sea, you can turn in any direction and be great. From that level of being great, you can become very great. Beyond being very great, you can become exceedingly great as you graduate from greatness to greatness.

I give you a list and areas of greatness of some great men and women.

GREAT WICKEDNESS

You can be great in virtues or vices. Many people in the Bible and in the world today are great for their notoriety. Some are great smokers, womanizers, robbers, fraudsters, etc. There were great conspirators, evil counsellors, revilers, adulterers, idolaters, lovers of money, etc. Early in Bible account, God described the wickedness of man as great This kind of greatness only attracts God’s punishment.

Genesis 6:5: And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

GREAT NAME

Abraham was a man who enjoyed a very great name. From the primitive era of the chaldeans to the lips of even kindergartens in all the modern world, the name of Abraham resounds with glory and honour. If it were possible to have a complete diary of those named after this hero of faith, the list would be endless. God made Abraham a man of a great name and constituted him the father of a great nation. You can enjoy greatness in your name.

Genesis 12:2: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing

GREAT POSSESSIONS

Job comes to the fore in this area. God himself described him as the greatest man that ever lived in his time. His greatness was determined by the size of his wealth and prosperity of his family. It therefore means that you can become very great through the abundance of possessions the Lord empowers you to possess.

Job 1:1-3: There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil. And there were born unto him seven sons and three daughters. His substance also was seven thousand sheep, and three thousand camels, and five hundred yoke of oxen, and five hundred she asses, and a very great household; so that this man was the greatest of all the men of the east.

GREAT NATIONHOOD

World history shows very clearly that there are great and small nations. The Babylonian empire of old was a very great one. Another nation that rose to greatness and became very mighty was the Roman empire. At one time or the other, many great nations have emerged in the world’s political, economic, and religious, scenes to leave their names permanently on the record of men. In the same vein, many nations have not risen beyond their local recognition. It is therefore possible for people to grow and become a great nation politically, economically, militarily, socially, religiously and so on.

Genesis 18:18: Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?

Genesis 21:18: Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in thine hand; for I will make him a great nation.

GREAT PLENTY

In the face of gross economic depression in the world, greatness in abundance is most desired by both Christians and non Christians. It is a pleasant experience to be described as ‘great in plenty’ in the midst of want. Abundance has levels. The best level to desire, is great abundance in everything with which God blesses you.

Genesis 41:29: Behold, there come seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of Egypt:

GREAT DELIVERANCE

A very grievous famine was to wipe out the family of Jacob, God’s chosen servant. If it happened that way, there would be a breach of God’s promise to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The entire plan of God’s redemption was to be carried out through the nation of Israel. You now can imagine what it means to have that family wasted to starvation. In His fore-knowledge and wisdom, God found a solution to the problem even before it came. When Joseph in plenty, stood to redeem his father’s household from starvation and death, he described the divine arrangement as great deliverance.

Genesis 45:7: And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance.

Your deliverance is not great yet if its benefits are only limited to yourself alone. Joseph was a great deliverance for the posterity of the family of Jacob and a preservation of their lives. Great deliverance benefits both the delivered and those around him. When the delivered becomes the instrument of deliverance, his own experience can be described as great deliverance.

GREAT MINISTRY

Moses had a unique ministry of miracles, signs and wonders. The magicians of Egypt failed in their challenge of

God’s power in his ministry. He spoke and God confirmed his words. He demonstrated God’s power without fail. When the magicians, astrologers, wizards and all the wise men of Pharaoh in Egypt submitted to the supremacy of God’s power in Moses’ ministry, the greatness of his ministry revealed itself. Your ministry can become great such that no position or contest against it can stand.

Exodus 11:3: And the Lord gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh’s servants, and in the sight of the people.

GREAT STATURE

Compare a giant to a dwarf and you will immediately appreciate men of great stature. The description of Goliath of Gath, champion of the philistines was terrifying. He was a man of great stature, What gave him a name above his fellows was his great, huge stature. When David defeated him, he won for

Israel a great victory. There are people who have developed spiritually into men and women of such great stature that they defy all the threats of Satan and demons. Such move from victory to victory.

Numbers 13:32: And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof, and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature.

GREAT HONOUR

Have you thought of it that people are honoured in different ways? There is great honour. Men and women of great honour are respected and revered by both small and great in both far and near lands.

Numbers 22:17: For I will promote thee unto very great honour, and I will do whatsoever thou sayest unto me: come therefore, I pray thee, curse me this people.

Balak threw the allurement of great honour to Balaam to curse Israel for a reward. Many still fall into this trap today. They seek great honour and damn their souls.

GREAT WISDOM

On account of Solomon’s wisdom, he was a very great king. He was like an encyclopaedia of knowledge, dispensing wisdom in every speech and understanding to every great king. Kings and queens in other kingdoms left the glory of their thrones and the honour of their majesty to seek him and imbibe his wisdom.

Never was there a king like Solomon, both before and after him in Israel.

GREAT VOICE

The Lord speaks with a great voice. You can just listen to some people and they sing songs that do not bring glory to God at all. However, when a great voice praises the glory of the great King, great blessings pour down upon men to make the small, great and the great, greater.

Deut. 5:22; These words the Lord spake unto all your assembly in the mount out of the midst of the fire, of the cloud, and of the thick darkness, with a great voice: and he added no more. And he wrote them in two tables of stone, and delivered them unto me.

GREAT SHOUT

There are victories you can never win in silence. Through divine prescription, the children of Israel shouted a great shout and the impregnable walls of Jericho fell down flat. You

sometimes need to shout out your prayers and praises to win the most desired victories of your life.

Joshua 6:5: And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram’s horn, and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him.

GREAT THOUGHTS

Your size is a function of your dream. What becomes of you is defined by the kind size of your thoughts. Great minds concentrate on great things and become great in the world. You may have been small all this while because your thought is small. Begin to think great and you will become great.

Judges 5:15-16: And the princes of Issachar were with Deborah; even Issachar, and also Barak: he was sent on foot into the valley. For the divisions of Reuben there were great thoughts of heart. [16] Why abodest thou among the sheepfolds, to hear the bleatings of the flocks? For the divisions of Reuben there were great searchings of heart.

GREAT VICTORY

The battles the children of Israel fought were physical battles with the use of physical weapons. Anytime the Lord of hosts gave them outstanding victories, they were said to destroy their enemies with great slaughter. Some believers are only giving one or two repeated knocks on the heads of demons to deter them from their viscous activities. Whereas the Lord commands absolute elimination of the foe. You are not to negotiate the terms of the battle but to go for the kill. You will possess a great victory by executing a great slaughter upon the enemies.

Joshua 10:10: And the Lord discomfited them before Israel, and slew them with a great slaughter at Gibeon, and chased them along the way that goeth up to Beth-horon, and smote them to Azekah, and unto Makkedah.

Judges 11:33: And he smote them from Aroer, even till thou come to Minnith, even twenty cities, and unto the plain of the vineyards, with a very great slaughter. Thus the children of Ammon were subdued before the children of Israel.

Judges 15:8: And he smote them hip and thigh with a great slaughter: and he went down and dwelt in the top of the rock Etam.

GREAT STRENGTH

Samson and great strength have become synonyms. He was the only man in the entire Bible noted for his strength. Samson was only a great man as long as his strength was intact. The secret of his greatness was his strength and the mystery of that strength was his locks. You cannot become very strong in the spirit till you are reputably mighty in thought.

Judges 16:5: And the lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and said unto her, Entice him, and see wherein his great strength lieth, and by what means we may prevail against him, that we may bind him to afflict him: and we will give thee every one of us eleven hundred pieces of silver.

When the enemies set out for Samson, his great strength was their target. The enemy will try to hit you very hard in the area where your greatness is concentrated. The folly of polygamy rubbished the great wisdom of Solomon. The stains of lust marred the heart after God that David once possessed. The fear of childlessness momentarily marred the great faith of Abraham.

GREAT IN THE ORDER OF CREATION

Some achieve greatness while others were born great. Melchisedec was a mysterious priest of God who had no ancestral descent. He was great on account of his order of creation. Abraham, in all his great faith and victories over the armies that invaded his environment, payed tithes to Melchisedec. There are many stories of great men and women with unusual circumstances surrounding their births.

Hebrews 7:14: For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood.

GREAT RICHES

When the rich discuss among themselves, they classify their riches. They describe some of their colleagues just rich. Others as very rich. Still, a few are described as being greatly rich. Some people have not become great because of their education or political career. They have so great riches that they are reckoned among the great. There are great riches you deserve to possess. And the king of kings is ready to pour them out upon you.

1 Samuel 17:25: And the men of Israel said, Have ye seen this man that is come up? surely to defy Israel is he come up: and it shall be, that the man who killeth him, the king will enrich him with great riches, and will give him his daughter, and make his father’s house free in Israel.

GREAT JOY

Have you wondered why some people radiate with joyful excitements in the worship of God, that seem not to know any end? Well, it may be that although you have joy, they have great joy. The difference tells itself naturally. When you begin to experience great joy, the earth will shake.

1 Kings 1:40: And all the people came up after him, and the people piped with pipes, and rejoiced with great joy, so that the earth rent with the sound of them.

GREAT MERCY

Not many people would have survived the error of David. Human judgement would have recommended a lighter punishment for Saul, the first king of Israel over his disobedience and heavier punishment for David for his adultery, murder, lies and hypocrisy. David survived the consumption of divine wrath not just by mere enjoyment of mercy but through great mercy. That is the reason you should not compare yourself to anyone else in the kingdom.

1 Kings 3:6: And Solomon said, Thou hast shewed unto ,thy servant David my father great mercy, according as he walked before thee in truth, and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with thee; and thou hast kept for him this great kindness, that thou hast given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day.

I can only give you the above few expressions and descriptions of greatness in one volume. The essence of it is to open your eyes to see that your potential for greatness can find expression in varied areas of life, qualities and virtues The only area to avoid is greatness in sin or wickedness, which provokes God’s great anger.

God’s formula for greatness is different and his method differs from the world’s Listen to the master in the text below.

Mark 10:43-44: But so shall it not be among you: but whosoever will be great among you, shall be your minister: And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all.

To be great means to be larger in size than others of the same kind. It means to be large in quality, quantity or

number as you have seen from the above examples. To be great also means to be remarkable or outstanding above others. To be great means to be superior in quality, influential, have a glorious destiny, powerful and be distinctive. As you desire greatness, take this prayer point aggressively.

Every enemy of greatness in my fife, today is your expiry date, in the name o Jesus.

In looking at the secrets of greatness, let me tell you clearly that greatness does not usually begin great. Use what you have now to get what you need. Don’t despise the days of humble beginnings. Very many great things have started in small ways. Jesus was born to become a great king. Birthed in a manger, He was brought up by poor parents. Your beginning does not matter, if you keep your focus on greatness.

KEYS FOR GREATNESS

Now, take a look at the following keys for greatness.

YOUR PRESENT IS THE KEY TO YOUR FUTURE

Whatever you do with your life at present will determine what your future will be. Invest your present to have a profitable future. Put everything presently at your disposal to work in order for you to have a glorious future. The woman with the issue of blood gave away everything to save her life. She spent everything to no avail, but her faith remained. When she met Jesus, she applied that faith and got what all her money and possessions couldn’t get her in the past. Right in your hands, you have something to turn around your life and decorate your future in greatness.

FAITHFULNESS

Faithfulness is a key to greatness. Some people think God should have reviewed His demand for faithfulness because

of the many temptations to become unfaithful that surround the Christian every day. There is no compromise with God. If you want to be great, you must be faithful in every small and little thing that comes your way. The challenges around you are opportunities to prove your faithfulness.

Luke 16:10-12: He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man’s who shall give you that which is your own?

The method of God is very simple. If you want to become great, be faithful while you are a servant. If you want God to establish you as sole owner of a business empire, be faithful to your boss while you serve him. If you want to become a great General Overseer of an independent church or president of a ministry, be faithful as a minister under another servant of God. If you want to become God’s financial secretary be faithful in your tithes, offerings and vows no matter how small or much. You cannot start from the top. If you want to achieve greatness, you have to begin at the lowest rung of the ladder.

I once met a man I knew was looking for a job. I asked him if he had got one and he answered reluctantly with dissatisfaction in his voice. “I am managing somewhere”, he said. Where I queried him, he answered, “In a school as a teacher. But that is not a proper job. When I get a proper job, I hope to leave.” The mistake many make in life is that they have not realised God can use anybody to elevate you. He can use your student to elevate you. The seed of your future is your present.

DILIGENCE

I have not seen any great man or woman who did not climb through the way of diligence. If you are not

industrious in whatever you are doing now, you cannot achieve greatness. Diligence requires that you put everything you should, into everything you are doing, to achieve everything you ought. God describes the ants as great creatures. The particular feature of their greatness is their diligence.

Proverbs 18:16: A man’s gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.

DIVINE DEPOSITS

There is a divine deposit for greatness already in your life: You have what it takes to be great. The opportunities abound around you to make you great.

The greatest tragedy that can ever befall any man under heaven is to pass through this world and die without using the talents God has given him. Life is a one-way street. Once you leave here, there is no coming back. Every minute of life, that ticks by, can never be reversed. If you are eighteen years old now, you cannot go back to when you were seventeen. The tragedy of life is to get wise too late. I pray that you will not be wise too late, in Jesus’ name.

Life is also a loan. The life you live is not yours. You are going to give account of it to the Almighty. There is a day to pay back Life has a secret. The secret of it is to be shaken and stirred Many people would not have arrived where they are today I they were not shaken. If they had travelled on a smooth road they would not have arrived where they are today.

Life is a mystery. No matter how long you live, you cannot know and understand everything about life. Great bible characters still had questions to ask God in their good old age. Their questions show that, they too realised the mysterious nature of life. Note this, life is a mission. Whether you know it or not, you are here for a specific

assignment You are on a particular mission in this world. It is to your utmost good to discover your mission in the world and fulfill it. Only a life that is lived to fulfill its mission is indeed a fulfilled life.

Life is a battle. Nobody passes through this world without having to be engaged in one battle or another. Though they vary in type, intensity and time of occurrence, the path of life is full of battles. If you want to live a successful life in this world, just prepare for war. It is another tragedy of life to have virtues die within a man while he lives. Many people have died internally, yet they are still alive physically.

A life is not significant, unless it can make an impact. Everyone that God created is an unexplored goldmine. Discover what God has planted in you and use it for the purpose for which you have been created. One of the greatest discoveries in your life is to find out your God-given resources and treasures.

There is an example in Luke chapter one. It’s about John the Baptist. On the visit of an angel of God to Zechariah and Elizabeth his parents, the angel revealed the virtues and treasures to be found in John.

Luke 1:11-17: And there appeared unto him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense. And when Zacharias saw him he was troubled, and fear fell upon him. But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John. And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth. For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother’s womb. And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God. And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient

to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.

What you are running around for may simply be in your pocket. Discover your treasures and endowments. Precious metals are not found on the surface but buried deep under the earth. Every man has hidden treasures and unachieved success. Every man has some dormant abilities. Every man has latent power. It’s a great pity and loss, to die without exploring what God has deposited in your life.

Let me quickly make a balance at this point. The deposits of God in a life can be ignored, stolen, destroyed, abused, perverted, confiscated, wasted, exchanged, and transferred.

For Joseph, the deposit for greatness in his life was his gift of dreams.

Discover your own deposits.

There was a woman in one of our meetings. She had been married for twenty years. On her wedding day, she consciously or unconsciously insulted her mother-in-law. She didn’t know the woman was very powerful in the negative supernatural. The mother-in-law determined to teach her a lesson, took a skin and attached some demonic stones to it. She tied it up and threw it into a river and said as far as it sank to the bottom of the river, the woman would never have a child. She was under this spell for twenty years.

During the meeting, aggressive prayer points were raised and the woman prayed them aggressively. When she got home, she saw a big fish in a vision, but did not understand it. The next day, she was passing a market and there was somebody selling a big fish. The Lord spoke to her to buy the fish. But she wondered why, because she thought it was too big for her and her husband to consume. The Lord insisted, and she bought it. When she got home, the husband started laughing wondering whether the family was

about to have a party with such a big fish. The woman said the Lord spoke to her to buy it.

The husband started cutting it for the woman to prepare. Right in the belly of the fish was a strange material. Out of curiosity, they opened up the material and found that her name was written in it. That was the end of her twenty years of childlessness. She got pregnant that same month.

The key to your greatness may chart your course through crisis. But the crisis will bring you glory. It was the key to Joseph’s greatness that brought him all the troubles he had. He did not sin to deserve those troubles, yet they came upon him. This because the first phase of manifestation is the key to his greatness. It was the same key that brought him out of all the troubles.

You need not be discouraged because of the possible troubles your divine deposits can bring upon you. The same divine deposits will bring you the glory associated with your life.

Rehab was another Bible character on this list. She had a shameful moral record though, but her divine deposits still lifted her to salvation and fame. She was hospitable. It was this gift of hospitality that made her to entertain the spies in her house. What she did bring her into a covenant of mercy. She obtained the salvation of the Lord and became numbered with the redeemed. From notoriety to fame, her divine deposits paved the way for her.

Your background does not matter. Through the divine deposits in you, your history will take on a dramatic change for Good.

Daniel stood head and shoulders above his contemporaries. His divine deposits found him out in the days when the rule of the Babylonian king submerged every other name. Through the divine deposit of prayer, the chains of limitation around him were shattered. He was an

aggressive prayer warrior. He persistently endured in prayers for twenty- one days. That divine deposit brought him promotion and created a clement atmosphere for the gospel of the Holy One of Israel to spread across the entire kingdom.

Samson’s divine deposit was his strength, but he abused it.

The rare ability to play the harp, a musical instrument, brought David forward. He was invited to stand before the king as a result.

Peter was introduced to the fulfilment of his destiny through his business as a fisherman. His ability to catch fish was his divine deposit.

You need to roar and groan in prayers to know the key to your own greatness. The beginning of your fulfilment is when you discover the divine deposits programmed into your life.

Everyone that God created is programmed to be great. Don’t compare yourself with another. Don’t throw your own key away. There is something about you that the world is waiting for.

Discover yourself.

FIND GOD

Divine encounter will make all the difference there is in your life. You haven’t found anything yet, if you haven’t found God. Successful Bible characters found God. For Jacob, it was one night of divine encounter in a wrestling contest. Peter met his turning point at the encounter with Christ by the sea side. Find God.

MARRY THE RIGHT PERSON

Who you many determines how your future look like. A Jezebel would ruin any man. And a Jeroboam the son of Nebat would be a disaster of a husband. Two becomes one in marriage. Be careful who you marry. Your future depends on who your spouse is.

BE FORGIVING

A woman came to me many years ago. Nothing worked for her at all. She came and demanded I pray for her for a turn around. As I closed my eyes to pray, the Holy Spirit said, “son, don’t pray for her. There’s someone she doesn’t want to forgive.” I gave her the message and she revealed that the person was her husband. She said the man threw her out and brought in as a wife, a girl of eighteen years, about the age of their last child.

This woman said it was impossible to forgive the man. She banged the door and walked away in anger. The next day, she was back. She was ready to forgive. That night her breakthrough started. You need to empty your heart of malice and unforgiveness. Don’t bean enemy to yourself.

BE GENEROUS

Great givers are great receivers from God. They are entrusted with riches and wealth hardly found in other hands. Don’t be stingy. You won’t expand if you do.

There was another woman who was the breadwinner of her family. She gave her husband a condition that he shouldn’t use more than two cubes of sugar whenever he wanted to drink tea. One day, the man used four! The woman rushed to him and sifted the sugar from the tea. Be generous.

BE GRATEFUL

God delights in a grateful heart. Gratitude over little things will attract more. Being ungrateful is one of the signs of the

last days. Be thankful. Appreciate every good that is done to you by anybody.

BE PERSISTENT

Those that give up never get to the end of the road. When the journey is a long one, only persistent runners win the race. Don’t give up before you reach your goal.

APPLY THE GOLDEN RULE

Treat everyone you meet the way you would want to be treated.

BE OPEN TO IMPROVEMENT

You are never too old to learn something new. Even, you need to be reminded of what you knew before. Just don’t be satisfied with your present status or achievements.

BE COMMITTED TO EXCELLENCE AND QUALITY

In whatever you set to do, seek excellency and quality. If it’s ever worth doing at all, then do it very well.

BE LOYAL

Disloyalty carries a curse. This curse goes from generation to generation.

BE HONEST

What killed Ananias and Saphira was dishonestly. Watch against it.

BE PRAYERFUL

There is no great man or woman in the Bible or contemporary times who did not wield the weapon of prayer on their way to greatness. If you are allergic to prayers, you can’t be great.

BE HOLY

Unholiness opens the door to all manner of conflicts and afflictions. Be holy, even as God is holy.

BE A BIBLE ADDICT

Get addicted to studying your Bible. Don’t just make it a quick reference book in time of troubles. Read, digest and memorise it.

DEAL WITH YOUR FOUNDATION

The troubles at your foundation, which you fail to deal with, will affect you. God is so particular on this, that His word says, “if the foundation be destroyed, what can the righteous do.”

PRAYER POINTS

  1. Any power, stealing my greatness, your time is up, be destroyed in the name of Jesus.
  2. Every power, promoting my problems, your time is up, die in the name of Jesus.
  • Every Goliath in my destiny, die in the name of Jesus.
