THE EVIL TRANSFER

There is a very interesting incident in Luke’s gospel.

And he was casting out a devil, and it was dumb. And it came to pass, when the devil was gone out, the dumb spake; and the people wondered. But some of them said, He casteth out devils through Beelzebub the chief of the devils. And others, tempting him, sought of him a sign from heaven. But he, knowing their

thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth. If Satan also be divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand? because ye say that I cast out devils through Beelzebub. And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your sons cast them out? therefore shall they be your judges. But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you (Luke 11:14-20).

I am sure you are familiar with the passage which you have just read. Let us draw out some salient points from it.

1. There is a satanic kingdom.

• That kingdom is not divided.

• We are introduced to a high ranking demon called Beelzebub. Beelzebub means the lord of the flies. There must be a reason it is given that name. That will be looked into in this chapter.

The subject of the evil transfer cannot be over- emphasised. Ignorance of this subject has led many men and women into all kinds of terrible bondage. To understand the concept of the evil transfer, let us consider one or two lessons from how diseases are transferred.

Basically, diseases can be transferred from one person to another through contact. For example, if somebody has a cough and you kiss him or her, you might get the cough.

Diseases can also be transferred through poor hygienic conditions. You can also contact some sicknesses through your environment. Airborne diseases can be transferred through dust or air. You can also become sick by drinking contaminated water or eating contaminated food. Diseases are also transferred through disease agents which are called vectors in medical parlance. For example, mosquitoes can carry mosquito parasites from the body of somebody who has malaria and inject it into the body of a healthy person.

These are examples of how transference of diseases takes place. If these conditions exist and the persons involved are susceptible, then diseases are transferred. Evil spirits are transferred in exactly the same way. That is what is called the evil transfer. That is part of the reasons the devil is called Beelzebub, the lord of the flies.

Let us look at some analogies at this point. Satan was called the lord of the flies.

1. We understand through medical science, that flies are carriers of diseases. Some of the diseases that are spread by flies are very deadly. Demons also cause various deadly diseases. If you have some knowledge of deliverance and spiritual warfare, you would have discovered that the demonic kingdom is the domain of insects.

• Flies fly in the air, satan is also called the prince of the power of the air.

• Flies show up in large quantity whenever there is a change in weather conditions. Demons are also fond of appearing and trying to attack you whenever God is about to bring a change into your life.

• Flies harass and distract people’s attention. That is exactly what the devil does. He harasses and distracts people’s attention.

• Flies invade sores or open wounds wherever they find them. That is how demons behave.

A brother narrated an incident: to me which took place when he went to work on a particular day. There was a quarrel between a bus driver’s assistant, popularly called bus conductor in Nigerian English. The bus conductor ran inside the bus, took a ring, slipped it into his finger and slapped the commuter with whom he was having a quarrel. Immediately the commuter became confused and started urinating right in the public. Most of the passengers took to their heels. Another commuter who was around challenged the bus conductor and soon another quarrel ensued.

The bus conductor picked up his magic ring again and attempted to slap this other commuter who challenged him. Immediately the conductor raised up his hand, the commuter, who looked like a gentleman and could pass for a senior bank executive, recited some incantations. The hand of the bus conductor got suspended in the air. He couldn’t bring it down.

A crowd gathered to watch the drama. The driver was confused. The first passenger was still urinating on himself while the bus conductor’s hand was still suspended in the air. The executive said he would not release the bus conductor’s hand unless the man urinating on himself was also set free. Well, I don’t know how they ended the drama, but what happened that day was a clear case of satanic exhibition.

How could a ring make a man to urinate on himself? No doubt a demon had been attached to that ring. Its duty must be to extract urine from its victim until the victim dries up and dies. Surely, there was a transfer of power from a demon to the ring.

There are stories of innocent people being kidnapped by satanic agents. What they simply do is to slap the chest of a prospective victim. He loses consciousness immediately and begins to follow the

satanic agent doggedly. Eventually, the victim is taken to a hut or shrine where he or she is used for sacrifice. How can a simple slap on the chest become an instrument of kidnapping men and women? Again, we see here an evil power transfer. There is a demon attached to such an evil assignment. If such an evil power works on a child of God something must be wrong somewhere. An evil transfer should not prosper in the life of a true believer.

For evil transfer to work something must attract it in a victim’s life.

For example, if a lady is raped the spirit of lust transfers into her.

The children of darkness are wiser in their own ways and they know how to transfer evil deposits, evil spirits, sicknesses, demons and all kinds of problems. What then are the principles employed in the evil transfer?

PRINCIPLES OF EVIL TRANSFER

• BEING UNDER EVIL INFLUENCE AND AUTHORITY

When a man is under the influence and authority of another person, whatever evil is present in the life of the leader or the head would be automatically transferred to the life of one who is under authority and leadership.

Another expression for evil transfer is transference of spirits. Spirits are easily transferable. Good spirits are transferable. Evil spirits are also transferable. A father can transfer good or bad influence to his children. The husband can transfer spirits (good or bad) to his wife. If your husband is so wayward that he comes home around midnight every day you can be sure that he brings in demons on a daily basis.

A spiritual leader can also transfer good or evil things into the life of the members. The story of Jonestown in Guyana, South America, has remained unforgettable in the history of mass suicide. The leader of the cult had such a bizarre influence on his members that he told them that, they together with him would drink poison and die on the same day. Everyone accepted. That was how the most fearful mass suicide

took place in South America. Their dead bodies were later shown on television and in the dailies. That is the power of the evil transfer. He had captured their bodies, souls and spirits before he led them to a mass grave.

A father who is polygamous may plant the same seed in his offspring. That is why they say “like father, like son”, “like mother, like daughter”. Why don’t you release yourself from the power of evil parental transfer right now by taking these prayer points:

All forms of “like father like son” or “like mother like daughter” spirit in my life, loose your hold and depart, in the name of Jesus.

Every negative influence from my parents, depart from my life now, in the name Jesus.

Influences or problems can be transferred through institutions like offices or schools. There was a popular atheist who influenced a lot of people who passed through the school he founded. That is some of the students grew up as atheists. What happened was that his spirit got transferred into the lives of the students. Although he is dead today, the spirit of godlessness, which was in his heart, has remained in some of the students who passed through the school. Incidentally, he has also produced notable African preachers.

• ANGER

The demons of anger are easily transferred from one person to another. The Bible says,

Make no friend with an angry man and with a furious man, thou shalt not go, lest thou learn his ways and get a snare to thy soul (Prov. 22:24-25).

This teaches us that if you walk with an angry man, you will soon catch his spirit. Whenever the head of the family is always angry, quarreling with everybody, the spirit of depression will soon take over

the entire family. Angry fathers generally bring up rebellious and uncontrollable children.

Anger opens the gate for other vices to come in. Anger is temporary madness. If you get angry and destroy things, when your anger subsides, you may find it difficult to undo the evil you have done. Anger can be likened to epilepsy. You may do things that are shameful, but when you wake up from your fit, you will be terribly ashamed. A lot of demonic spirits ride on the horse of anger and rule human spirits.

The best time for demonic spirits to come into people’s life is when they are angry. Temper tantrums are weapons of demonic attack. I saw a blind man one day, who got angry and threw away his walking stick. It took him about five minutes before he could recover from his fit of anger. By the time he became normal, he discovered that he could not find his way without his stick. It was then he shouted “Who is passing by? Can you help me to find my stick?” I laughed. But he was the one who threw the stick away. What would have happened if nobody was passing by? He would have suffered unnecessarily.

A lot of people today, have thrown valuable things away because of anger. If care is not taken, such people may never recover what they threw away. This shows us that the spirit of anger is indeed powerful.

• SOUL TIES

When you have soul ties with your leaders, parents, friends and acquaintances, spirits can be readily transferred. Soul ties are powerful. If you have a deep or an intimate relationship with someone, you also end up taking up spiritual things (positive or negative) from that person.

For example, if you had a sexual partner before you became born again and you have not broken soul ties, there may be things that were deposited in your life that will continue to disturb you.

Spirits that are attached to soul ties may not necessarily kill but they will hinder some good things from coming to you. If it happens

that you are free from soul ties at the moment, don’t get entangled with soul ties.

For example, if a woman says, “I’m going to get even with my husband. Since he’s been going about with strange women, I’m also going to look for a strange man, to prove to him that what is good for the goose is also good for the gander”, she may get into trouble. The kind of strange man that may come across her way may be a possessed man. She may end up jumping from frying pan to fire. She may get more than she bargained for. Evil spirits may enter her home and trouble her, her children and her husband. It can result in multiple bondage.

• YOUR COMPANY

The company you keep or the people with whom you associate can transfer negative things to you. That is why a true believer cannot afford to make an unbeliever a very close friend. The Bible says,

He that walketh with wise men shall be wise but a companion of fools shall be destroyed (Prov. 13:20).

In other words, if you hang around with wicked men, you will be wicked too. If your companions are those who worry, you will end up becoming a worry wart. The company you keep may be used as a pipe to transfer things into your life.

If you are going through strange things as a result of transference of spirits, you must take necessary steps if you want to be free. You must break every soul tie. You must allow rivers of living water flow out of you. Let the life of Christ in you infect others. You must stop every evil spiritual infections. You must become a thermostat instead of being a thermometer.

• PERSONAL OR ANCESTRAL DEMONIC INVOLVEMENT

Transference of spirits can occur through personal or ancestral demonic involvement. If your parents were involved in idol worship,

masquerades, consulting fetish priests, white garment prophets, palmistry, the use of charms and the occult, you have definitely experienced an evil transfer as long as you did not get born again in your mothers womb. Some of the things transferred may not be discovered for 40 or 50 years.

Evil powers would not wait for your permission or your awareness before carrying out their activities. Those who join the Rosicrucian Order, Freemason, Isis Lodge, the African Lodge, the Reformed Ogboni Fraternity and other occultic groups must be ready to accept one form of evil transfer or another into their lives.

• PHYSICAL CONTACT

Negative anointing can be transferred through physical contact. A lot of bad things take place during programmes like marriages and engagement ceremonies. The bridegroom is generally expected to prostrate himself before his in-laws. What do you think will happen during such a seemingly harmless ceremony if more than half of those who are gathered there witches and wizards. To prostrate himself before such a motley crowd is to be ready for anything.

Again, some of the things we do in the name of African culture leaves much to be desired. For example, it is customary in some circles for water to be poured on the feet of the bride during the ceremony. Tell me what happens if the person pouring the water is a witch. An evil transfer is inevitable. Even if prayers are offered for you by those present during the traditional marriage, all you can see is the prayer, but the hidden agenda remains unknown.

A large gathering may be filled with satanic agents who want to use that opportunity as a point of contact for evil transfer. People may pray for you outwardly and curse you inwardly. That is how wicked human beings can be.

I also pity those who decide to take chieftaincy titles. The chieftaincy title is not as simple as the name suggests. In Africa, part of the conditions for the conferment of the chieftaincy title is a ritual. This ritual entails the placing of some tropical leaves on the head of

the candidate for the title. Generally, a priest is around to lay hands on the head of the new chief. Undoubtedly, transference of spirit takes place. Such occasion provides a legal ground for demons to operate. A lot of these chiefs often misbehave and do things that are unbecoming of their societal status. What else do you expect a man to do, on whose head a strange leaf from the forest was placed by highly demonic men?

Demons cannot but enter the lives of those who undergo rites of chieftaincy. Chiefs who are seen as everybody’s men in a community are generally manipulated by witches, wizards, familiar spirits, false prophets, religious imams, fetish priests, mermaid agents, members of the occult and all visible and invisible demonic agents in the community. I pity women who take chieftaincy titles and are addressed as Chief Mrs. so and so, without their knowing the implications of taking such a title.

If a chief comes to the church saying he is now born again, what about all the evil things which were transferred into his life? You may try to conduct personal deliverance on yourself. But if the hand you lay on your head is cold and lifeless, having no fire, it will not deliver the head that is loaded with demonic power. The most foolish thing anyone can do is to voluntarily surrender his or her head for demonic agents to lay their hands on.

An incident took place recently. Somebody came to me and narrated how evil powers were transferred into his life in an unusual manner. He told me how he conducted a crusade in his church and one of the people who attended the crusade narrated his problem asking for prayer. According to him, the problems mentioned by the man were so unusually strange that all the crusade counsellors declined the offer of helping the man out of the predicament

The case was referred to the brother who narrated the story to me, who happened to be the chief counsellor. He laid hands on the man and prayed. Immediately, he felt some strange sensation in his body. Five minutes after the prayer he fell down and became paralysed. He sensed a foul play and immediately asked them to fetch the man who

came for prayer. They looked around for the man but he was no where in sight. He had disappeared. You may ask: why should that happen to a believer? Why not? If a believer is living in any known sin, satanic attack will thrive in his life.

I remember what happened to a friend of mine when he laid hands on a strange man. The incident also took place at a crusade ground. He went from one place to another laying hands on those who attended the crusade. He laid hands on a particular man and sensed that something began to move from the head of the person to his hands. He quickly went back to the man saying “Excuse me can you come back here. I must pray for you again.” He told the man to kneel down and he laid his hands on his head again. He prayed, “I command whatever you have transferred into my hands through your evil power to go back into your life right now, in the name of Jesus.

Strange enough he felt something going back from his hand to the head of the satanic agent. He became normal immediately. The satanic agent knew what he was doing. He just smiled and went away.

A sister was preparing to travel to England. She had so much to do that she decided to engage the services of her house maid. The house maid misbehaved, she packed something which she shouldn’t have packed into the luggage of her mistress. The sister got angry and gave her few strokes of the cane, thinking that there was no danger. Immediately, her two hands became joined together. She tried with all her strength to separate the two hands, but could not.

She had to call the neighbour who brought her to me. Unknown to her, the house maid was a witch. The little girl got angry and decided to teach her a lesson. She wanted her to know that you cannot flog everyone and get away with it. That was an evil transfer. Evil power was transferred from the girl’s hand through the cane to the lady’s hand.

Negative anointing can be transferred through rings, cloths, shoes and head gear. I pity women who borrow clothes for parties. I also pity ladies who give out their dresses to those who want to wear

them during parties. Negative anointing can be transferred through such exchange of clothes. You may borrow dresses and look elegant but you cannot be sure whether you have not borrowed negative anointing. I hope that nobody ever borrows underwears because he or she wants to attend a party.

• THE INTERNAL FACTOR

Generally, what gets transferred to you is what is resident in your own life. Like attracts like.

For example, if the spirit of lust is in your heart and somebody who has the same spirit comes across your way, there will be an instant link between both of you and you will begin to lust after each other. The evil current will begin to flow.

Something happened to a brother which bothered him for a very long time. He was married. His wife travelled and he was the only person at home. They had a house maid who lived at the boys’ quarters. He woke up one night with an unusual urge to go to the girl where she was sleeping. It was strange to him. He tried to sleep but he could not. He was so sexually aroused that he felt like rushing to the girl’s room. He prayed. Nothing happened. Then he decided to speak in tongues. His feelings subsided and he became normal.

It was then he decided out of curiosity to check the girl’s room to find out what could have been responsible for such strange feeling in him. He got to the girl’s room and tried to knock at the door. He knocked until the door opened by itself. The girl was fast asleep. However, her posture was strange and suggestive. She was lying down stark naked with her feet on the wall. Then the brother understood the source of the evil transfer. He would have committed immorality with the house girl, but for the fact that he went into spiritual warfare. The blunt truth is that the brother must have at one time or the other entertained some unclean thoughts. That was what the enemy used to transfer evil thoughts into his heart.

If somebody who has the spirit of unbelief comes across another person with the same kind of spirit, the demons in both of them will

communicate and attraction will lead to an evil transfer. If somebody who is fond of weeping comes across someone who is melancholic, both of them will be attracted to each other. They will go into bitter crying because there is a current that runs through their hearts. The only way you can deal with external spirits is to get rid of internal spirits which are lodging inside your heart.

Strange things happen in people’s lives because internal forces cooperate with external powers making evil transfers possible. Have you ever felt like committing suicide? Where does such a feeling come from? Have you ever felt like doing some strange things? Where do such feelings come from? Obviously, there is no smoke without fire. If there is nothing in you, external factors will not click.

You must get rid of all internal problems, then evil transfers will become impossible.

At times certain problems are prevalent within a family. This situation exists because there are internal factors within the family that promote satanic attacks. That is why there are families where sicknesses, accident, poverty, madness, untimely death and failure go from one member of the family to another until everyone has had a fair share of the evil cake. Close your eyes at this point and take this prayer point:

Every familiar spirit in my family I bind you, in the name of Jesus.

What is the key to freedom from evil transfer?

KEY TO FREEDOM FROM EVIL TRANSFER

• SPIRITUAL MATURITY

What is spiritual maturity? It is a Christian’s maturing or growing up until he becomes a full-grown adult spiritually speaking. Are you a baby in the Lord? Do you demonstrate maturity in all that you do? If you are at the same spot spiritually all the time then you are a backslider. Those who fall to make progress generally experience evil

transfer. But someone who has grown up spiritually will not be a candidate for evil transfer.

• TOTAL DELIVERANCE

You must ensure that you are completely delivered from anything contrary to light in your life. If you are not delivered in any area of your life evil spirits will come into your life through that door way. Total deliverance will close every door against the devil.

• REMOVAL OF EVERY ROOT OF BITTERNESS.

You must search for and deal with every root of bitterness in your life. Do not harbour unforgiven spirits. Do not be bitter with those who step on your toes. Forgive them. Do not come to the house of God complaining about everything around you. Why do you complain about what is done in the church as if you are perfect? Make sure that your heart is free from bitterness, rancor, malice and anger.

• FORGIVENESS

Forgive everyone who ever offended you. Do not keep records of offence in your heart. Forgive yourself and overlook your past mistakes. Do not allow guilt to remain in your heart.

You must take all the steps if you expect evil transfers to fail in your life. Failure to do this is to allow satanic agents to test all their weapons on you. Make up your mind today not to allow evil transfers to function in any department of your life.

PRAYER POINTS

1. Every problem putting on a mask be exposed and disgraced today, in the name of Jesus.

• Anything transferred into my life by evil laying of hands go back to your sender, in the name of Jesus. (Please, place your right hand at the centre of your head as you pray this.)

• Anything in my body cooperating with witchcraft, go back to your sender, in the name Jesus.

• Every internal stubborn pursuer, loose your hold now, in the name of Jesus.

• Every owner of evil load, carry your load, in the name of Jesus.

• Any evil thing transferred into my life before I got born again, come out with all you roots, in the name of Jesus.
