Luke 15:14-16

To be said violently and with aggressive faith. They

must be borne out of the heart of compassion for the

lost. They are not a spiritual whip to punish anyone.

It is an acceptable biblical principle to pray for the hedge of thorns for your ungodly and wicked relations who are treading the path of destruction. If the way of the prodigal son was not hedged with thorns, he would not have remembered to come back to the father.

Acts 9:5:”And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutes It is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.”

God will prefer that all men be saved and come to the know-ledge of the truth! This is His heartbeat: Salvation of souls.

Israel was enjoying a time of prosperity, so they forsook God and committed spiritual adultery by running after Baal and other false gods.

God said, “He would hedge their way with thorns,” i.e. make things very difficult for Israel. This will cause them to come to their senses and recognise the source of their blessing. Just as in the physical a man will make life difficult for an unfaithful wife until she returns to him, God will make things difficult for man, till man returns to God.

In Paul’s encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ, as he was striking the church, attacking Christ, rebelling against his Maker, he was hurting himself. God built a hedge of thorns around him and each time he struck the Church, the thorns would prick him.

These prayer points are specially designed for those who are far from the living God. Those loved ones who are into spiritual adultery, running after the gods of this age, wealth, women and worship of men.

As you faithfully bring your loved one before God, using these prayer points, God will hedge his or her way and the promise that “you and your household will be saved” (Acts 16:31) will become a reality.

MEDITATE DEEPLY ON THIS SCRIPTURE

Hosea 2:6-15: “Therefore, behold, I will hedge up thy way with thorns, and make a wall, that she shall not find her paths. And she shall follow after her lovers, but she shall not overtake them; and she shall seek them, but shall not find them: then shall she say, I will go and return to my first husband; for then was it better with me than now. For she did not know that I gave her corn, and wine, and oil, and multiplied her silver and gold, which they prepared for Baal. Therefore will I return, and take away my corn in the time thereof, and my wine in the season thereof, and will recover my wool and my flax given to cover her nakedness. And now will I discover her lewdness in the sight of her lovers, and none shall deliver her out of mine hand. I will also cause all her mirth to cease, her feast days, her new moons, and her Sabbaths, and all her solemn feasts. And I will destroy her vines and her fig trees, whereof she hath said, These are my

rewards that my lovers have given me: and I will make them a forest, and the beasts of the field shall eat them. And I will visit upon her the days of Baalim, wherein she burned incense to them, and she decked herself with her earrings and her jewels, and she went after her lovers, and forgat me, saith the LORD. Therefore, behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak comfortably unto her. And I will give her her vineyards from thence, and the valley of Achor for a door of hope: and she shall sing there, as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt.”

BRIEF EXPLANATION

Praying for the hedge of thorns is an important aspect of spiritual warfare.

It has to be done daily.

Evil friends and strange partners will begin to avoid the person being prayed for.

The person will begin to have difficulty in finding his or her path of wickedness.

The person becomes miserable and uncomfortable until he finds the Lord.

It should be noted that the Bible says: “We are not to rescue” until the mission is accomplished.

PRAISE WORSHIP

Lord, I pray that . . . will not find peace until he returns in repentance to his/her Creator.

I command the ways of all unfriendly friends confusing

Let the angels of God arise and block the path of . . .

runs back to the Saviour, in the name of Jesus.

Let all strange lovers begin to avoid . . . as from today, in the name of Jesus.

Lord, ordain terrifying noises against all evil collaborators confusing . . ..

O Lord, build a wall of hindrance around . . . so that he will be unable to carry out any ungodly activity.

Let all the good things that . . . is enjoying thereby

hardening his heart to the truth be withdrawn, in Jesus’ name.

Let . . . become sick and restless on tasting any alcohol or using any addictive material, in the name of Jesus.

I break every curse of the vagabond upon the life of . . .

in the mighty name of Jesus.

Let the angels of the living God begin to pursue all strange lovers caging . . . , in the name of Jesus.

Lord, walk back to the foundation of my marriage and carry out the necessary surgical operation.

I bind every strongman militating against my home, in Jesus’ name.

Let every gadget of marriage destruction be frustrated in my home, in the name of Jesus.

Let every evil anti-marriage linkage with our parents be dashed to pieces, in the name of Jesus.

Every evil effect of external interferences in our marriage be completely neutralized, in the name of Jesus.

I paralyse every architect of conflict and hostility in my home, in the name of Jesus.

Let every evil power trying to redraw my marriage map be put to shame, in the name of Jesus.

Let all extra-marital relationship with other “partners” collapse and die, in the name of Jesus.

I paralyse the activities of the spirit of . . . (pick from the under listed), and I command you to loose your hold upon . . ., in the name of Jesus.
