PRAYERS FOR THOSE DESIRING SOUND SLEEP

Sleeplessness or insomnia is not from the Lord. These prayers should be done aggressively. If you had a bad night, you’re likely to have a bad day.

CONFESSIONS

Psalm 3:5: I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me.

Psalm 4:8: I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.

Psalm 127:2: It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread

of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.

Proverbs 3:24: When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.

Eccles. 5:12: The sleep of a labouring man is sweet, whether, he eat little or

much: but the abundance of the rich will not suffer him to sleep.

Isaiah 29:10: For the LORD hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers hath he covered.

Luke 9:32: But Peter and they that were with him were heavy with sleep: and when they were awake, they saw his glory, and the two men that stood with him.

Psalm 121 :1-8: I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. ²My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. ³He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. ⁴Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. ⁵The LORD is thy

keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand. ⁶The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. ⁷The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. ⁸The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

Lord Jesus, I thank You, for Your day time and for Your night time. I know

You never sleep but constantly watch over me. I know You have placed

Your guardian angels all around me.

Lord, I give You all my cares and my worries of the day. I give You all my fears.

Satan, I bind you, in the name of Jesus. All spirits of fear, especially fear of the dark, you are hound, in the name of Jesus. I rebuke the fear of fire and fear of intruders, in the name of Jesus. Spirits of insomnia, nervousness, tension, and worry, I cast you out, in the name of Jesus.

1. Let every sleep disturbance originator be eliminated from my life, in the name of Jesus.

• I bind every spirit of faintness, dizziness, headache, tremor, unusual sweating, poor concentration, palpitation, diarrhoea and any other spirit causing difficulty in sleeping, in Jesus’ name.

• Every sleeplessness attached to previous horrifying experiences, be dismantled, in the name of Jesus.

• The fear of going to sleep, be eliminated from every area of my life, in the name of Jesus.

• Let the name of the Lord be glorified in every area of my life.

• Thank God for the deliverance.
