POWER OVER FAILURE

A lot of people battle with failure, from the cradle to the grave. Such people record abysmal failure in many areas of their lives. To succeed, you must know how to eradicate failure. The moment failure is erased from your destiny, you will come into the highway of explosive success.

As you get ready to discover what it takes to exercise power over the spirit of failure, I want you to go into a session of aggressive prayers.

PRAYER POINTS

1. Oh Lord, keep me away from the path of the destroyer, in the name of Jesus.

• I bind and destroy every uncontrollable power of poverty, in the name of Jesus.

• Oh Lord, divide the tongues of my enemies after the order of the Tower of Babel, in the name of Jesus.

• Oh God, arise and connect me to your limitless power, in the name of Jesus.

• Oh Lord, I want to see you, in the name of Jesus.

• Oh ye dry bones, hear the word of Lord, receive life, in the name of Jesus.

In God’s mathematics, no matter what one gets, it is still possible for God to do wonders. Impossibilities are found only in the realm of mortals. But,

as far as God is concerned, there are no impossible situations. In fact, God sometimes begins to work at moments, when the strength of men ends. For you to have power over failure, your life must be governed with faith in God, and in His word. Even when situations are hopeless, you should learn to lean on the everlasting arms of God.

I know of a man, who was just standing by, while everything in his house was auctioned. Somebody later confronted him and asked him, “Man, why are you watching them auctioning your house?” The man simply replied, “As I am watching the auctioning of this one, my eyes shall watch them build another bigger and better one.” That is the voice of success. The voice of failure will admit defeat, and the enemy will hold you according to what you have said.

One of the dangers that Christians fall into in any nation lies with what we profess. When you pronounce failure and curse upon your nation, nothing good might be done in such a place. It will be unto you according to your words.

I was in a bank sometime ago. A woman began to complain bitterly saying, “I just came back from England, and I have been in this bank for ten minutes, you are wasting my time.” The clerk did not even look at her face, let alone talk to her. She later continued in her rage, “This country is finished.” She started railing curses and abuses on the country, because of ten minutes delay at the bank.

Many Christians are also caught in this web of criticism. When you are full of prejudice, you will never see any good thing in your nation. What you will see is the negative side. I want to implore you to pray earnestly and sincerely for the healing of your nation and the rulers.

Titus 3:1-2: Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.

This message will help you overcome, whatever situation you are grappling with.

Addiction

When a person is addicted to an evil thing, it becomes difficult to break free. Such a one is a candidate for failure. Many would have been very useful to their community, nation and the world at large, but for the addiction to marijuana and over hazardous things. This has made them to have a shattered dream.

I am always disturbed, when I see people smoking away their lives, all because of addiction. They lie useless under the bridge and end up becoming a nuisance to the society. If not for addiction, they would have probably occupied prestigious positions in the nation.

Addiction to evil does not come in a day. It starts gradually, and later entangles its victim in a trap, where he cannot escape. Addiction can start from taking snuff. Taking snuff is like taking a cigarette. If anyone is attending the church of God and still doing this, such is twice a child of hell fire.

It is even possible to be addicted to football and sex. If you can despise going to the house of God, all because you want to watch or play football, you are addicted to it, and you will need to break loose, before it is too late.

Procrastination

Is an exercise in doubt. It implies putting off till tomorrow, what could have been done today. It is a serious cause of failure.

Lack of persistence in finishing what one has started

Good start, but poor finishing will lead to failure.

Bad habits

Do not allow bad habits to hinder you from succeeding.

Gambling

What is gambling? It is the desire for nothing.

Indecision

Indecision will lead to failure.

Wrong marriage

We do preach in the Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries, that a bad marriage is equal to hell fire. That is why the watchword for marriage is ‘purpose before partner.’ That is, know your destiny, before you get your partner. There must be fervent prayers, before getting your partner. Allow God to choose for you. Do not choose for God, because human beings are complex. When you open your eyes, you might make a wrong choice.

Close your eyes in sincere prayer and allow God to choose for you. As a child of God, when your marriage is not anchored on the rock of ages, your ministry and purpose in life will be defeated.

Anytime your pastor tells you to go and pray again. You need to look inwardly and run to God in brokenness and sincerity. Empty yourself before you pray about marriage.

I remember the story of a brother, who the pastor told to go and pray again concerning his marriage. The brother quickly and sharply told the pastor that he had prayed through, even prayed on the mountain and in the valleys. And, that God has shown him the vision of the two of them inside a Mercedes Benz car. The pastor still cautioned, “Brother, go and pray again.” The brother said, “I have prayed and there is nothing to worry about.”

Later, the marriage was conducted and they had a nice reception. A lot of people attended the epoch-making marriage ceremony. The couple got home and the brother knelt down to pray. He said, “Let us thank God for the marriage, its success and everything.” He started to pray, but he did not hear “Amen” from the sister. He opened his eyes and told the sister. “Excuse me, I am praying, please, say, “Amen.” The sister shouted, “Do not mention the name of Jesus here again.” The brother was shocked and asked the sister “What are you saying?” The sister simply replied, “I mean what I said.” It then dawned on the brother, that he had married a fire extinguisher!

There are many satanic sisters and brothers in the house of God, who want to pull down men and women of God. That is why you need to empty

yourself and pray very well before you marry. Never marry a deficit. Allow God to show you the person who will fulfill your destiny.

Hebrews 13:4: Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.

A brother was mightily used by God to conduct deliverance. He was a powerful deliverance minister, and a very good interpreter. Being a graduate, he could speak English fluently, and was versatile in quoting Scriptures. A Jezebel later came to the church and this powerful deliverance minister broke all Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries regulations. He started by going to the house of this sister to hold vigils. Soon, the vigil became regular. Soon, the vigil resulted into pregnancy. Then he ran away from the church. This brother lied to one Baptist pastor, who conducted the marriage for them.

One day, the Jezebel wife came here, and started disturbing everybody, “I want to see the G. O.” She was eventually ushered in. “Are you the G. O? She asked I answered “Yes.” She continued, “Which panel did you set up to discipline my darling husband? You have no right to discipline him.” She insulted me by saying all kinds of words that annoyed the people around me. I allowed her to say all she had to say, and simply told her, “Have you finished? God bless you Ma. You can go.” She went away but today that brother is no more in the Lord.

You should know that marriage affects your life forever, and that is why you must pray your way to breakthroughs. If it is on the issue of marriage you will start hearing God plainly, it is worth it. Learn from the mistakes of others, so that you will not get into trouble.

Fear

The spirit of fear is the spirit of failure. The man with one talent in the Bible buried his talent because of fear. The spirit of fear should not dominate a child of God. Why?

2 Tim. 1:7: For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Divided interest

Divided interest win lead to failure, because it is confusion.

Wrong career or profession

Do not pursue shadows by going into a wrong profession.

Indiscriminate spending

Be discreet in spending

Bad time management

When you manage your time properly, you will succeed.

Close your eyes and pray like this: “Every power polluting my time, die, in the name of Jesus.”

Spiritual antagonism

Let it be established in your heart, that the hosts of hell do not want you to succeed. There will always be antagonism from every quarter and at every time. Spiritual antagonism is another cause of failure in life which you must fight against.

You must be a man and a woman of prayer, who can pull down every satanic opposition and structure. God will help you to overcome spiritual antagonism. But you need to be aware that the secret of overcoming spiritual antagonism is by guarding yourself with spiritual amour. Find below the amour for overcoming spiritual antagonism:

Ephes. 6:10-18: Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye maybe able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of

righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above an, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

A sister had the problem of spiritual antagonism. The sister got married in a wrong way. Later on, she got born again and started praying. Two years after marriage, the mother-in-law came from the village to pay them a visit. But, the strange thing about that visit was that the mother-in-law brought two ladies from the village. And, when she was leaving, she told the sister, “I just want to inform you that there are two wives who will be staying with you, and you just have to live together. The sister said that would never happen.” She threatened to leave, but later stayed.

When she complained to the husband, she was surprised to hear him, say that, he was expecting even four wives and not two. But something strange and bizarre happened one night as she was praying. As it happened on that day, the husband of the sister came to join her in prayers.

Unknown to her, there was a conspiracy. The husband had done money making ritual, and had only come to join her in prayers in order to use a ring on her. As they were praying, the ring fell on the floor and the sister pick it up. At this time, the husband was not aware of the falling ring. The Holy Spirit told the sister to place the ring on the head of her husband and instantly, the man went blank and dried up, and when this woman shouted his name, “Ambrose!”, money began to fall off. It was then it dawned on her that a great deliverance from danger had been done to her. The ring was meant to be placed on her head, to terminate her life.

Close your eyes and pray the following prayer points: Every witchcraft power, speaking failure against my life, die, in the name of Jesus.

Every power that has decided that I will not prosper, die, in the name of Jesus.

It is through antagonizing and warfare prayers that you will be able to discover the secrets behind your failure. So take time to pray unto God with

all your strength and power you have discovered that failure seems to dog your way.

Let me tell you the story of one Brother Aremu. This brother’s case of failure got out of hand. He wrote the WASSCE for nine straight years, and had F9 parallel. The result of failure was even sent to him at a particular year that he did not even write the examination. This brother had to look inwardly. He decided to take a radical step; he determined to pray in order to discover the secret behind his failure, so he set a day apart and prayed to know the cause of his perpetual failure. After that prayer, the brother had a revelation. Where he saw his stepmother sitting upon his books.

He had to quickly go to their house in the village to settle everything. When he got to the village, he refused to greet anybody. He rested and woke up at about 12 midnight to fight it to finish. He prayed all kinds of warfare prayers that night, which shook the whole compound. Nobody was able to go out to ease his or herself. He ended the prayers by 6 am and decided to leave.

That night, he had been able to dethrone the powers of failure, which his stepmother was using against him. He told everybody around, that he would come back, if he should fail any examinations again. And, he never failed any examination after that exercise. This was because he had been able to locate the root of his failure, and had prayed to deliver himself from it.

Beloved, close your eyes and pray like this: Every power sitting on my destiny, somersault and die, in the name of Jesus.

Possession of wealth with sorrow

This is evil wealth that is not from God. When your wealth is not from God, you are looking for sorrows.

Proverbs 10:22: The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.

Talkativeness

When a person talks too much, he can get into failure and trouble. God wants you to control your tongue, so that you could be the person He wants you to become. Cultivate the habit of talking less, but praying much. The psalmist says this in Psalms 141:3.

Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips. Carelessness

Carelessness in handling things is not a sign of success, rather it is a sign of failure, which you must pray against. To become a successful person, one must be careful in everything one does. The consequences of carelessness are grave.

1 King 20:39-40: And as the king passed by, he cried unto the king: and he said, Thy servant went out into the midst of the battle; and, behold, a man turned aside, and brought a man unto me, and said, Keep this man: if by any means he be missing, then shall thy life be for his life, or else thou shalt pay a talent of silver. And as thy servant was busy here and there, he was gone. And the king of Israel said unto him, So shall thy judgment be; thyself hast decided it.

Curses and evil covenants

If you have been cursed, or have entered into an evil covenant, you need to break loose from such, before you can enjoy the liberty of success. For many, it is a curse that is working against their success in life. To some others, they have dined with the devil, by entering into an evil covenant. You have to break yourself loose, before you can have a breakthrough in life.

If curses and covenants have been working against your success. I have good news for you today, hope is not lost. The God of heaven is still in the business of setting the captives of the devil free, and yours is not an exception. The Bible says:

Isaiah 28:28: Bread corn is bruised; because he will not ever be threshing it, nor break it with the wheel of his cart, nor bruise it with his horsemen.

Hearing, listening to and speaking wrong words

The things you hear or listen to, have a long way in determining your success in life. The words you speak will definitely do your life good or bad. That is why you must watch how you listen, and what you say. Believers words should be seasoned by grace. It should minister life and light to this dark world. The Bible says:

Ephes. 4:29: Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

Inconsistency

Success is characterized by consistency, while failure is a brother of inconsistency. Consistency will lead you to stardom. Never allow inconsistency in your life if you want to have success. To become a stranger to failure, you must not move with people, who are inconsistent.

Proverbs 24:21: My son, fear thou the Lord and the king: and meddle not with them that are given to change:

Ignorance of your potential

So many today have great potentials lying idle. They become a loss to themselves, and to their community. Pray to discover your strength and potentials, and channel your energy to maximizing these God given potentials. The whole world is waiting for you to use your potentials, to be of benefits to people. Your potentials, to be of benefits to people. Your potentials are what you are capable of doing well.

Purpose for living

So many people pass through this world without achieving anything tangible in life, because they do not know the purpose why they are on earth. Let me tell you today, there is a purpose for every life. Pray to discover the purpose of God for your life, and try to live a purpose-driven life all the days of your life.

Eccles. 10:15 The labour of the foolish wearieth every one of them, because he knoweth not how to go to the city.

It is lack of purpose in life that will make you to be a Jack of all trades, and be master of none. You may work like an elephant, and eat like an ant, if you do not have a clear-cut purpose.

Sin is the greatest cause of failure in life

Sin will bury a man, even before he is dead. Sin is dangerous, deceptive and damning. A sinful life is the poorest life upon the face of this earth, because such a one will be punished throughout all eternity. Sin is a cankerworm.

For you to be successful indeed, you need to run way from sin. This is so, because any success that is got in sin, will never last. In fact, God is angry with sin and sinners every day, and that is why, He is giving you time for repentance.

Eccles. 10:11-13: Surely the serpent will bite without enchantment; and a babbler is no better. The words of a wise man’s mouth are gracious; but the lips of a fool will swallow up himself. The beginning of the words of his mouth is foolishness: and the end of his talk is mischievous madness.

To be delivered from the yoke of sin, you need to pray for the salvation of your soul. Jesus Christ is He who can set you free from sins.

THE SOLUTION

Deal with sins in your life

The first thing you have to do if you want to become a stranger to failure, is to pull down the foundations of sin your life.

Become addicted to the word of God

Speak the word of God over any situation in your life. There is power in the spoken word.

Commit yourself to obeying the word of God

You need to obey the commandments of God from His word, before you can have success.

Learn to use prayer strategies, which will get results

Prayer is like a telephone communication, that will bring the desired results. Let me give you a short analysis:

One, who are you phoning? It is God. Two, what is the phone itself? This is the Holy Spirit. Who invented the phone? Jesus. And, who are the users or subscribers of the phone? Christians. The phone is not meant for unbelievers. For any unbeliever to subscribe for that prayer phone, such a one must pay the currency of repentance from sin, and genuine salvation.

If you discover that your telephone number is not effective, it means you are a Christian, who is not spirit-led. If your phone has been disconnected, it shows that you are backslider. When your line is not clear, there is guilt in your life, working against the communication. When you do not pick up your phone, at a time when the divine line is calling you, it shows that you have prevented God from talking to you. That is why you need to sit down, and learn the process of divine communication.

Deal with the three great enemies you have

All the sins that people commit can be grouped under these three greatest enemies. These things will even work to hinder a person from making heaven. What are these three great enemies? Anger, fear and selfishness.

Why did Adam eat the forbidden fruit? It is simply because of the fear that he might die; he wanted to live forever.

Why did Cain kill his brother? From selfishness, he could not stand seeing somebody greater than himself.

Why did Moses strike the rock instead of touching the rock? For anger.

Why did Lucifer want to raise his throne above God? For selfishness.

Why was Herod killing small children, when he heard about Jesus? The answer is because of fear. He was afraid that Jesus would dethrone him, and that his offspring will not reach the throne.

Why did Saul disobey God? He did so because of selfishness, he wanted to please himself.

You need to sincerely examine, and ask yourself, if these three enemies are ruling you. Is anger in your life? Are you selfish? Does fear rule over you?

Anger is a powerful and dangerous poison that can kill the soul. Let me make this clear to you. If you are still getting angry, your problem is more than that of all the witches and wizards of your country put together who are running after you day and night.

Anger could come, because of different things. It could come because of fear, anxiety, etc.

Ephes. 4:31-32: Let all bitterness, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

The people with bad tempers are very fearful people. Anger grieves the Holy Spirit, and blocks the flow of God’s power. God will never deposit His power in an angry man. This is true, because, if he does, that power will destroy the life of that person.

Fear also punches the Holy Spirit, and limits God’s power upon people. Anger just like fear can come under many forms. It could be disguised as hatred. In other words, you are not greeting the person silently because you just hate the person.

Anger can also come in form of bitterness. It could be disguised as malice. In other words, you are not free with a person, because of malicious anger. Anger can also be disguised as envy, intolerance, revenge, gossip, unforgiveness, criticism and sarcasm (sharp ridicule).

This therefore, shows that the anger which people exhibit today is in must cases bottled up and disguised, and this can be detrimental to one’s physical and spiritual life. Anger will block the success of its victim.

Anger and fear get people to the hospital than all other diseases. It has been shown from the science world, that prolonged anger and fear can damage a person internally. When fear is in your heart, worry, anxiety, superstitions and other things enter. It is imperative that you talk to God in sincere prayer so as to get rid of these enemies of your success today.
