POWER AGAINST EVIL NAMES, PRAISES AND THEIR ATTENDANT PROBLEMS

Isa. 62:2

God is concerned about names. Some human problems are tied to the names they bear. A born again Christian who bears a ‘cursed name’ would have unexplainable problems. Many Christians are now discovering how the meaning of their vernacular or other names speak plainly through their daily life experiences.

When genuine Christians bear names which glorify the devil, or suggest evil or misfortune, they do themselves a great

harm by retaining such names. For Christians whose names specifically imply evil, a bold step should be taken to change such names. However, to make the change of any name spiritually effective, we must destroy the power and the effect of the former name through prophetic praying and prayers of deliverance.

• CONFESSIONS

1 Chr 4:9-10: “And Jabez was more honourable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bare him with sorrow. And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested. ”

Gen 17:5-6: “Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee. And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.”

Gen 32:24-30: “And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day. And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob’s thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him. And he said, Let me go, for the day

breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me. And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob. And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed. And Jacob asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, thy name. And he said, Wherefore is it that thou dost ask after my name? And he blessed him there. And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved. ”

Matt 1:21: “And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.”

Change those names immediately, if they do not glorify the Lord Jesus Christ.

I break the flow of any evil river coming into my life through these unprofitable names, in the name of Jesus.

I cancel every influence of family idols attached to these names, in the name of Jesus.

You . . . (mention the name), I renounce you. I reject you. I refuse you. You shall have no landing place in my life, in Jesus’ name.

Every familiar and wicked spirit behind the names, get out of my life, in the name of Jesus.

I refuse to come under the control and domination of any satanic name, in the name of Jesus.

Every witchcraft naming, be dissolved from my fore-head and navel, in the name of Jesus.

Holy Spirit, take control of any negative situation these names have caused, in the name of Jesus.

Holy Ghost fire, consume every evil label, mark, stamp or ordination of evil attached to my former names, in Jesus’ name.

I receive the seal of the Holy Spirit upon my life, in Jesus’ name.

Every hidden or silent name given to me to destroy my destiny on my naming ceremony day, I nullify you, in

Jesus’ name.

I receive deliverance from every satanic cage created for me by any evil name, in the name of Jesus.

Every good thing these names have destroyed in my life, be restored seven-fold, in the name of Jesus.
