DESTROYING THE POWER OF GRAVEYARD SPIRIT
A lot of mysteries surround the graveyard.
“Let me not be ashamed, O LORD; for I have called upon thee: let the wicked be ashamed, and let them be silent in the grave”. Psalm 31:17
There is a spiritual entity and a location known as the grave.
“But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me. Selah”. Psalm 49:15
The grave has some powers. The Psalmist was still very much alive when he said this. Because of this power of the grave, when Jesus died, He had to go to that grave.
“By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison”. I Peter 3:19
Jesus went down into the grave to preach to the spirits that were held in prison.
There is a prison in the grave and we need to understand that.
“O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?” I Cor. 15:55
Certain facts can be deduced from these passages we have read. However the question is what do we mean by Grave Yard?
We mean the cemetery. It is a place for burying the dead, a final resting place. The grave is a place of decay and a place of darkness and corruption. A place where many created from the dust, go back to the dust. The Bible says, there is no knowledge and no wisdom in the grave. A grave is always a silent place because it is a place of death.
There is a mystery about the grave that is not clear to the modern man. The grave has spiritual gates. It has some powers in it. This is why evil men are sometimes attracted to it. When Satanist wants to terminate a life, they go to the grave. They begin to call the living into the gates of the dead and under the cover of that darkness; they do a lot of terrible things.
Satanists consult the grave yard, to appease the gods, sometimes to acquire from the spirits certain information, sometimes to release afflictions to other people, sometimes to release evil winds to blow on people and blow strange sicknesses upon them, sometimes it is to destroy people’s business, people’s career, people’s health and marriages.
Wicked men confer with the graveyard spirits to help in their wicked decisions. They go there to conjure death against people. We have seen cases where somebody died and members of the family began to see the ghost all over the place.
If you get to some graveyards, you will find out that some graves have been changed. It is because something has gone wrong. They go there to secure power and fight their own battles, and it can be a very serious issue when you are under warfare by graveyard spirits without being aware. A lot of horrible things take place in the graveyard that is not yet clear to modern men.
Ghosts are spirits of the dead unbelievers. Because their souls are kept in a special place until judgment, this is why it’s possible for somebody who is a Satanist to call him or her out. But it doesn’t happen with Christians. These spirits can go back to where they lived and carry out a lot of devastation.
Unfortunately, in our nation now, men and women are going deeper and deeper into the occult in order to cause trouble for others. But then the absolute power belongs to the Lord Jesus Christ. A lot of demonic spirits have mingled with men and they have caused trouble. A man picked up a woman in Lagos and took her to a room to commit immorality with her. While going, the man asked the woman if she was married but she said no. All of a sudden as they were about to start the act, he heard a hard bang on the door.
The man asked the woman if she is aware of who was banging on the door and she said it was her husband. The man was surprised because he had asked this same woman if she was married and she told him no. Then how come her
husband was banging on the door. The man concluded that he will be in great trouble if the person banging the door gained entrance into the room. So he jumped out through the window.
The man who jumped out of the window in a popular area in Lagos landed in a cemetery. He then started to find his way through the light provided by the moon. When he got to the gate the guards at the cemetery thought he was a ghost. They to began to rain incantations against him. They were ordering him to go back thinking he was a spirit of one of the dead buried there. But he told them that he was a human being and not a spirit.
Eventually they got to him and told him that he was in trouble and he should look for a way of praying for himself. Right from that day a serious problem started for him and he became completely restless and always seeing imaginary things. That was what brought him to Mountain of Fire, and the Lord delivered him. I decree that if the powers of the grave are after your life, you shall be delivered in the name of Jesus.
When graveyard spirits are pursuing you, the agenda may not be to kill you but once they are pursuing you, there are certain things you discover. These will show that you are being pursued:
When you begin to dream of the dead.
You dream of being pursued by serpents.
You begin to see coffins.
You find yourself being shot.
Getting married to a dead person.
Working in a graveyard.
Falling into a pit and you cannot get out then know for sure that graveyard spirits are after you and you must take aggressive actions against them.
Once you allow them to operate unhindered, they will destroy you as they are not there to play with you. Once these powers are in, you will experience the following manifestations:
There will be serious health problems.
The person will be getting confused.
There may be sickness or diseases that may be resistant to prayers.
It is not when somebody falls down and is not living again that he is dead. A person can be a living dead. The powers of the grave can kill a business, marriage or anything in a person’s life. Once they are fighting against you and you do not stop them, they will stop you.
If you begin to notice unpardonable errors.
You begin to smell death.
If you look at your family and begin to find a chain of untimely death.
When you begin to contemplate suicide.
When you begin to find good things that you want to do die in your hands.
When you begin to find that hatred is now surrounding you.
- When you begin to find that every small thing you do, you get tired very quickly and you don’t know why.
- When you find out the enemy is chaining what is around you.
Today you must take a decision so that the powers that operate in the valley of the shadow of death will not get the better of you. Today, you need to pray creative and preventive prayers.
HOW DO YOU DEAL WITH THIS KIND OF POWER?
Surrender your life to the Lord Jesus Christ.
Make God your friend. He is the only one who can deliver. The Bible says “But thanks be to God who giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ”. The Bible says “O death, where is thy sting, O grave, where is thy victory?” There used to be a victory assigned to the grave but when you make Jesus Christ your friend, that victory of death and the grave is destabilized and removed. You need to completely surrender your life to the Lord Jesus Christ.
Again, sin in your life gives the enemy a foothold to attack you. There is no small sin. Sin is sin. For the enemy to come against you and to succeed, there must be a ladder. That ladder usually is the sin we get involved in.
Wage war against the spirit.
The Bible says “Right from the days of John the Baptist, the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence and the violent taketh it by force”. You must now go with the camp of the enemy and take your victory by force. Once you do these, you shall experience the breakthrough power of God.
Barricade your life so they don’t have access to you anymore.
You barricade your life with the blood of Jesus. Even if they had access in the past and they have been calling your name from the gates of the grave, when you wage war against them today and barricade your life against them, they will not be able to get close to you again.
When that power is drawing a person, they have no respect for your academic qualifications or knowledge. They can finish the person.
A professor once came to me in my office and asked me how many wives and concubines Solomon had. I told him one thousand in total. He then told me that he wanted to marry one more wife and that I should pray and bless the marriage. I told him that was impossible. He got angry with me, stood up and left slamming the door behind him.
After sometime he found the lady he wanted to marry as a second wife simply because according to him, his first wife was no longer fashionable. About a week to the marriage ceremony, this young lady died.
The next Saturday was supposed to be the marriage ceremony but it was the burial ceremony of this lady. As they were about to bury this lady, the priest asked him if he knew this woman and he said yes. The priest now conducted a wedding ceremony between this professor and the dead lady.
At that point this professor should have fled but he didn’t. Right from that day, he started seeing the ghost of this lady. People thought this professor was mad so
they took him to the psychiatric hospital and gave him drugs for psychiatric patients but this made the situation worse.
It was at this point that they brought him back to my office. He narrated the whole ordeal to me and I instructed him to go on a three days fast, which he did. After the three days fast and prayer, he was delivered. I pray that today, anyone who is being harassed by the spirit of death shall be set free in the name of Jesus.
