Dealing With The Enemies Of your Destiny

Your destiny is what makes your life important. What makes you unique from all other human being is your destiny. Your destiny is God’s blue print for your life; everything about you depends on your destiny. The target of the devil in any life is the destiny. If Satan can tamper with a man’s destiny, he has finished that life completely. The earlier you realise there are enemies against your destiny, the better. When destiny is misplaced, the human society is full of anomalies. When destiny is replaced, the society is full of all puzzles. The preacher observed this and said:

Eccles. 10:7:1 have seen servants upon horses, and princes walking as servants upon the earth.

It is a misplacement of destiny for servants to be riding on horses while princes are walking about. Such similar observations are very common in the world. Those who are least qualified for position, job vacancy, privilege and other good things of life are in control while those who are qualified by all standards and judgements cannot find their feet. Something is wrong when fools rule over the wise. It is an evil occurrence when men of might stoop before weak men. When the illiterate become the teacher of the learned the foundation of justice is out of course.

Horses are synonymous with the right of princes. Servants are known for their low estate. Where he that is destined to ride on horse is walking about while those destined to be walking are riding on horses, a terrible evil has broken loose from the kingdom of darkness.

I am not talking about God teaching unusual lessons with unusual methods, using usual examples. I am concerned about satanic activities that manifest in the dethronement

of one’s destiny. Begin to examine your life and ask yourself whether things are normal with you or not.

Those you should teach are instead teaching you. You are an apprentice to those you should train. You are a student to another who should be learning from you. You seek knowledge from those whose knowledge cannot stand even your ignorance. You are led by those who should be your followers, you are directed by those who should be taking instructions from you.

You are a member of a congregation under a pastor who should be your disciple in the things of God. Just take a quick inventory of your life, if you notice this trend trailing your course on earth, something terrible has happened to your destiny.

Pray the following prayer points before you read on.

I refuse to be on the same spot in life. I shall move forward by fire, in the name of Jesus.
You yoke of stagnation, your time is up, break, in the name of Jesus

Every environmental anti-progress power, scatter, in the name of Jesus.

Every power that says over its dead body shall I make progress, so shall it be, in the name of Jesus.

Every evil power of my father’s house, pushing me away from my breakthroughs, what are you waiting for? Die, in the name of Jesus.

I must arise and shine. Every power that says no to this, die, in the name of Jesus.

Any power that wants to waste my destiny, die, in the name of Jesus.

The text you read in Ecclesiastes talks about demotion, being pulled down and a man’s star being harassed and cast down. The tragedy of life is that the devil knows about

man’s destiny before the man wakes up to discover himself. Diabolic people discern people’s stars before such people ever know. how to spell their names. Wise men saw the star of Jesus while He was an infant. They located where He was through following the trajectory of the star. It shows how a man’s geographic location under heaven can be discovered through his star.

Matthew 2:1-2,7-9: Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him. . . . Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, enquired of them diligently what time the star appeared. And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also. When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.

When the star of a man is cast down, demoted or caged, it shows very clearly that there is an enemy who doesn’t want the man to fulfill his destiny. Your destiny is your divinely pre-ordained future. Your destiny is the purpose of God for your life. The reason you were born is explained by your destiny.

Your destiny is what has been written in the records of heaven about you. The whole body of God’s programme for your life is your destiny. Your destiny is the divine road-map that God has prepared for your life. Your destiny is all about why you are existing; the expectation of heaven concerning your life is your destiny.

Some never discovered their destiny. Some did, but it was taken away from them. Some lost it. Others abused and perverted it. When the devil knows that the pursuit of your

destiny is a disaster to his kingdom, he makes you a classified target of his most ferocious

In a football match, a very good, skilful player is usually tackled by more opponents than other players. The devil can ignore several hundreds of people just to concentrate on you if the fulfilment of your destiny constitutes a havoc to his kingdom.

Some people don’t know that they are heavily tackled by Satan and his cohorts because of their kind of destiny. Many people approach me and express their surprise at the level, kind and number of onslaughts directed at them. They don’t know that to be subjected to such attacks already shows their destiny constitute a threat to the kingdom of Satan.

However, if you are under severe attacks and you don’t know what to do, you may remain like that till you die. The truth is that there is always a plot against your destiny. Joseph is a good example.

Genesis 37:18-19: And when they saw him afar oﬀ, even before he came near unto them, they conspired against him to slay him. And they said one to another, Behold, this dreamer cometh.

Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, the three Hebrew children in Babylonian captivity are also examples of satanic plot against great destinies Until you read the Bible’s description of the anger registered on the face of Nebuchadnezzar against them, you may not understand how terrible the devil’s plot was against them.

Daniel 3:19-20: Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego: therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated. And he commanded the most mighty men that were in his army to

bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace.

Daniel was another man of great destiny. He too had a great deal of the devil’s plot. The deliverance of the whole Jewish race was conditioned upon the fulfilment of his destiny. When the devil discovered that through only one man, liberation would reach the whole nation of Israel, he plotted to kill him in a lion’s Den.

Daniel 6:16: Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. Now the king spake and said unto Daniel, Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee.

All the books in the world are not enough to describe the destiny of Jesus Christ. It is for want of words that attempt is made to even talk about the destiny of the Lord. Put succinctly, he came to redeem the world from sin. From the day that purpose came to the public knowledge of the Jews, Satan began to inspire them to kill him.

John 7:32: The Pharisees heard that the people murmured such things concerning him; and the Pharisees and the chief priests sent oﬃcers to take him.

The great Apostle Paul was also a man of extra-ordinary grace. His destiny is too much to talk about. In the plan of God regarding the new covenant, Paul became a major carrier of God’s projects and the executor of the greater proportion of it. You think the devil would let go of a man upon whom the salvation of the Gentiles, a few Jews, kings and governors depended? No! It became a binding vow on some people.

Acts 9:23-24: And after that many days were fulfilled, the Jews took counsel to kill him: But their laying await was known of Saul. And they watched the gates day and night to kill him.

Since destiny can be discovered at birth, you can become the subject of terrible onslaught from the cradle to the grave. If wise men could discover the star of Jesus at his birth, yours can’t be a problem. Even if you have not discovered yourself, the devil can discover you early enough to load you with heavy burdens of attack. Wake up! There are enemies against your destiny.

The population of the world is so much now that it is very easy to get lost in the crowd. Destinies are wasted everyday through accidents, disasters, wars, incurable sicknesses and diseases. You need to arise and stand in the power of the Lord against the enemies of your destiny. As the carcases of many destinies are falling by the day, the vulture of destruction is picking them up.

Esau lost his destiny through a pot of porridge. For food, he sold out his destiny. For a meal, he discarded his destiny and threw it aside. Great destinies have been lost through unimportant things like food, water, clothes, pleasure and other bait the devil uses. Comfort, laziness, discouragement, just anything at all can be your own vulture picking the carcasses of your destiny.

There are people who once moved in the spiritual experiences. They once moved in the gifts of the spirit, but now, the story is diﬀerent. If you once moved in the power of God, in signs and wonders but are nowhere to befound now, there is a vulture after you. The vulture will wait for a time to conveniently pick up your carcasses.

An African proverb says, “the vulture is a patient bird.” Many have given room for the vultures to move in by taking sabbatical leave from the presence of the Lord. Talking to God is like talking to a wall, they hear no voice and they see no vision. I want you to understand that you have enemies, even if you don’t believe.

God has enemies. You are not greater than God. The Bible says, “Let God arise and let all his enemies be scattered.” He has enemies. You don’t have to oﬀend anyone to have enemies. Immediately your destiny is colourful, you are in trouble. The succour to the soul here is the assurance from the Lord that victory will always be yours God never said the enemies will not fight you.

“They shall fight against you but shall not prevail.”

Take boxing for example. There may be up to ten rounds of the match. One boxer must win the contest at last, at an early or late round. The winner too must have had some punches delivered on him. There is a fight to win over your destiny. At times, the battle of life is such that the impact of the blows one receives from the devil becomes easily noticeable.

There is a fight you must win if you want your destiny to be fulfilled. There is never a victory without a battle. You can never claim to be a champion when no war has been fought. Whether you like it or not, you must fight to win in the battles of life.

If you go on holiday when the battles of life are not completely over, ratan is behind that move. There is what is called satanic holiday. The devil tempted Jesus at the beginning of His ministry. After the first phase of the master’s victory, the devil left him for a while; but in full force, he came back at the garden of Gethsemane and on the cross, working through the betrayal of Judas Iscariot, the drowsiness of the disciples and the mockery of the roman soldiers

Luke 4:13: And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season.

Ignorance, which has been the greatest of the church’s problem is fully manifested again when people have initial

victory. Ignorantly, they tend not to bother themselves when the devil leaves them for a while; they resume a life of pleasure, non-challance and attempt to pass through life, never again to have any problems. This is ignorance. When the devil returns, they later discover that he originally left for a season, kills and destroys. Ignorance is a destroyer.

Hosea 4:6: My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

It is possible to be an expert in ignorance. Some people know everything about nothing A lot of people are only experienced in many cases of demonstrated ignorance. A child of destiny who does not protect his/her destiny will be attacked.

In God’s master plan, each human being is diﬀerent. Each one is designed specifically for a unique purpose. No one is a failure. You may he wonderfully diﬀerent from others. You are still God’s idea, not the devil’s idea. It is therefore a disaster to forfeit the purpose for which you have been born. Your destiny must be fulfilled. Life without a purpose is a waste. It is like playing a match without the goals. It is an aimless life.

I remember a fellow student in my school many years ago. His name translates star. It is a very sad story I am telling you. His town was surrounded by three other neighbouring towns. The day he was born, three witchdoctors from these towns paid his mother a visit. They prostrated to the infant to the surprise of the mother. According to them, they did that because they had seen his star. They would henceforth not be deterred by the mother who was trying to stop the obeisance of the elders, who were also spiritually powerful. The witchdoctors prophesied that the boy would be a deliverance to their people for which reason he deserved to be respected, even at infanthood.

This boy began to grow. He had his primary education. From his first day in school, he started performing excellently. He scored hundred percent when the teacher instructed him to answer three questions out five, he would answer the three and go ahead to still answer the remaining two question in the margin of the answer script to show the teacher that he knew everything. About a kilometre from our school was a quick, sand, nobody went there for any reason, but one day, as the school was about to close for the session, the boy went there and never returned. That was how that brain among brains disappeared. He never fulfilled his destiny. He sank and even his corpse was not recovered.

An Africa proverb says, “The idol that takes blood from you will not accept palm oil as a substitute, even though they have the same colour.” You can’t handle the devil with levity. You have no business being kind to him. He can never become your friend. He would not let his prisoners go. Jesus quietened evil spirits and ordered them to come out of their hosts.

The greatest enemy of your life is the power that does not want you to fulfill your destiny. Once you don’t fulfill your destiny, your entire life is a waste. You have to deal with such enemy with all the weapons in your armoury and all the anger in your soul. At the end of your life, you will stand before Cod to answer the question on whether or not you fulfill your destiny on earth. To die and to be killed are not the same thing, You cannot fulfil your destiny if you are killed. But if you die, it makes all the diﬀerence.

I feel sad when I read the Bible and discover people who missed their destiny. Let me run you through some of their examples.

ABEL

Abel’s destiny was shut down by an household enemy. His own brother eliminated him before he was able to do anything significant for God. He only had a testimony of righteousness, but never fulfilled his days

Genesis 4:1-8: And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the Lord. And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground. And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an oﬀering unto the Lord. And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his oﬀering But unto Cain and to his oﬀering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell. And the Lord said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen? If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him. And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.

LOT

The destiny of this man was thwarted by his own wrong choice. He did a quick assessment of the plains of Sodom and Gomorrah and invested all he ever had there. He didn’t know he was doing that in a land soon to be overthrown in the wrath of God.

Genesis 113:11-11: And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomoriah, even as the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt, as thou comest unto Zoar. Then Lot chose him all the plain of Jordan; and Lot journeyed east: and they separated themselves the one from the other.

RUEBEN

This man was the eldest son of Jacob. He had the right to all the benefits of a first son. But he forfeited his destiny through abominable immorality. He defiled his father’s bed. Jacob pronounced a curse on him with the anointing of a patriach he had.

Genesis 49:1-4: And Jacob called unto his sons and said, Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days. Gather yourselves together, and hear, ye sons of Jacob; and hearken unto Israel your father. Reuben, thou art my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power: Unstable as water, thou shalt not excel; because thou wentest up to thy father’s bed; then defiledst thou it: he went up to my couch.

MOSES

This man had a narrow brush with eternal disaster in his escape from total ruin. He almost missed it completely. The labour of about forty yean was to waste away in a moment The enemy of his destiny was anger, which was the enemy of his father’s houses.

Numbers 20:12: And the Lord spake unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring, this congregation into the laid which I have given them.

Deut. 3:26: But the Lord was wroth with me for your sakes, and would not hear me: and the Lord said unto me, Let it suﬃce thee; speak no more unto me of this matter.

SAUL

The enemy against this man’s destiny was disobedience. God appointed him but he chose to please men. He rather disobeyed God in order to please his loyalist soldiers. That

disobedience caused him the throne and the fulfilment of his destiny. The God that enthroned him also dethroned him. The God that filled him with the Holy Spirit later sent an evil spirit upon him. God did all these because of his disobedience.

1 Samuel 15:1-3, 8-9, 24: Samuel also said unto Saul, The Lord sent me to anoint thee to be king over his people, over Israel: now therefore hearken thou unto the voice of the words of the Lord. Thus saith the Lord of hosts, I remember that which Amalek did to Israel, how he laid wait for him in the way, when he came up from Egypt. Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass… And he took Agag the king of the Amalekites alive, and utterly destroyed all the people with the edge of the sword. But Saul and the people spared Agag, and the best of the sheep, and of the oxen, and of the fallings, and the lambs, and all that was good, and would not utterly destroy them: but every thing that was vile and refuse, that they destroyed utterly…. And

Saul said unto Samuel, I have sinned: for I have transgressed the commandment of the Lord, and thy words: because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice… And Samuel said unto him, The Lord hath rent the kingdom of Israel from thee this day, and hath given it to a neighbour of thine, that is better than thou.

ACHAN

The enemy of this man’s destiny was covetousness. He took the Babylonian garment and brought trouble upon the whole assembly of God’s people, until he was discovered to bear the judgement. Covetousness made him to take what he could not even use. He took the garment and hid it.

Joshua 7:21, 24-26: When I saw among the spoils a goodly Babylonish garment, and two hundred shekels of silver, and

a wedge of gold of fifty shekels weight, then I coveted them, and took them; and, behold, they are hid in the earth in the midst of my tent, and the silver under it…. And Joshua, and

all Israel with him, took Achan the son of Zerah, and the silver, and the garment, and the wedge of gold, and his sons, and his daughters, and his oxen, and his asses, and his sheep, and his tent, and all that he had: and they brought them unto the valley of Achor. And Joshua said, Why halt thou troubled us? the Lord shall trouble thee this day. And all Israel stoned him with stones, and burned them with fire, after they had stoned them with stones. And they raised over him a great heap of stones unto this day. So the Lord turned from the fierceness of his anger. Wherefore the name of that place was called, The valley of Achor, unto this day.

SAMSON

One of the most tragic stories in the Bible was that of Samson. His birth was foretold by an angel. His parents were very prayerful. His mother was spiritual enough to see angels. He was strong and dealt with the Philistines, but he later began to gamble with his destiny. From the bosom of assorted women, he finally rested his covenant head on the laps of Delilah. His destiny was captured at once and he perished with the Philistines. His own problem was sexual immorality which was the greatest enemy against his destiny.

Judges 14:1-3: And Samson went down to Timnath, and saw a woman in Timnath of the daughters of the Philistines. And he came up, and told his father and his mother, and said, I have seen a woman in Timnath of the daughters of the Philistines: now therefore get her for me to wife. Then his father and his mother said unto him, Is there never a woman among the daughters of thy brethren, or among all my people, that thou goest to take a wife of the

uncircumcised Philistines? And Samson said unto his father, Get her for me; for she pleaseth me well.

From the first day Samson married Delilah, her mission was very clear. Show me the secret of your strength that I may destroy you, she began to pester this man of uncommon strength. It is like a pastor’s wife asking her husband for the secrets of his spiritual power to gain access to destroy him. Many still act like Samson. Men of promising spiritual power and dynamic ministries still get married to Delilah outside the kingdom of God, to their utter ruin.

Some people don’t appreciate what God has done for them. They leave the sisters in the kingdom to marry in the world. Ladies too abandon the brothers in the church to marry the Egyptians and Philistines. I have a pastor friend, his wife noticed that the family was no longer praying like before. She tried to reawaken the man to no avail. This woman then devised a clever trick Every night, she would sleep and put her legs on the wall. In African mythology, especially among my Yoruba clan, anybody who sleeps that way must be a witch or a wizard.

One day, the pastor woke up to discover the woman sleeping in that posture. He was scared! He immediately repaired the abandoned family altar. They began to pray until after forty days vigil, the woman decided to stop sleeping that way. That woman was an assistant to the man. Appreciate what God has prepared for you in His kingdom.

ELI WAS A PRIEST OF GOD

He had a covenant of everlasting priesthood with God. His lineage was supposed to be a generation of priests unto God, in all their lives. But through this man’s inability to control his children, he lost his destiny. By the time he decided to caution the immorality of these boys, perpetrated in the holy premises of God’s temple, it was just too late. He fumbled at his words to warn them and rested

the case. When he did, God picked up the case and meted a judgment to revoked the covenant and exterminated him and his two sons. It was a very sad and frightening experience.

1 Samuel 2:22-25: Now Eli was very old, and heard all that his sons did unto all Israel; and how they lay with the women that assembled at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. And he said unto them, Why do ye such things? for I hear of your evil dealings by all this people. Nay, my sons; for it is no good report that I hear: ye make the Lord’s people to transgress. If one man sin against another, the judge shall judge him: but if a man sin against the Lord, who shall intreat for him? Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto the voice of their father, because the Lord would slay them.

1 Samuel 2:30: Wherefore the Lord God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the Lord saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.

1 Samuel 4:15-18: Now Eli was ninety and eight years old; and his eyes were dim, that he could not see. And the man said unto Eli, I am he that came out of the army, and I fled to day out of the army. And he said, What is there done, my Son? And the messenger answered and said, Israel is fled before the Philistines, and there hash been also a great slaughter among the people, and thy two sons also, Hophni and Phinehas, are dead, and the ark of God is taken. And it came to pass, when he made mention of the ark of God, that he fell from oﬀ the seat backward by the side of the gate, and his neck brake, and he died: for he was an old man, and heavy, And he had judged Israel forty years.

THE YOUNG PROPHET

The young prophet had a successful ministry. Through listening to the deceitful counsel of the old prophet, he forfeited his destiny. When you look at the small, insignificant things that truncate great destinies sometimes, you will get terribly frightened. The young prophet was invited to a meal against the word of God; you wonder what is in a meal? Little things have ruined great destinies. Evil appetite is a disaster.

1 Kings 13:l-7: And, behold, there came a man of God out of Judah by the word of the Lord unto Bethel: and Jeroboam stood by the altar to burn incense. And he cried against the altar in the word of the Lord, and said, O altar, altar, thus saith the Lord; Behold, a child shall be born unto the house of David, Josiah by name; and upon thee shall he oﬀer the priests of the high places that burn incense upon thee, and men’s bones shall be burnt upon thee. And he gave a sign the same day, saying. This is the sign which the Lord hash spoken; Behold, the altar shall be rent, and the ashes that are upon it shall be poured out. And it came to pass, when king Jeroboam heard the saying of the man of God, which had cried against the altar in Bethel, that he put forth his hand from the altar, saying, Lay hold on him. And his hand, which he put forth against him, dried up, so that he could not pull it in again to him. The altar also was rent, and the ashes poured out from the altar, according to the sign which the man of God had given by the word of the Lord. And the king answered and said unto the man of God, Intreat now the face of the Lord thy God, and pray for me, that my hand may be restored me again. And the man of God besought the Lord, and the king’s hand was restored him again, and became as it was before. And the king said unto the man of God, Come home with me, and refresh thyself, and I will give thee a reward.

1 Kings 13:11, 15, 23-24: Now there dwelt an old prophet in Bethel; and his sons came and told him all the works that the man of God had done that day in Bethel: the words

which he had spoken unto the king, them they told also to their father… Then he said unto him, Come home with me, and eat bread….And it came to pass, after he had eaten

bread, and after he had drunk, that he saddled for him the ass, to wit, for the prophet whom he had brought back. And when he was gone, a lion met him by the way, and slew him: and his carcase was cast in the way, and the ass stood by it, the lion also stood by the carcase.

I once prayed with a man who vomited a human finger. I asked him what happened to him. He said he used to eat so much food at various functions He then recalled how he was at a function where everybody wore something like green and blue. He ate so much at the function.

On the front table was a big bottle inside of which was a big, live serpent. The celebrant said it was for attraction, just to create interests. This man ate at this function and a finger entered into him, troubling his life. All medical assistance proved abortive, until the power of God brought out the problem. Food was the same thing that ruined the destiny of Esau. Food was what destroyed the destiny of Adam, the first man. Food is still destroying so many, therefore cultivate the habit of fasting.

GEHAZI

The privilege this man had was uncommon. He was trained under the spiritual leadership of Elisha, the man with the double portion. When Elisha was tutored by Elijah, he got a double portion for his commitment, faithfulness, focus of spirit, great desire and eager pursuit of spiritual power. By simple arithmetic, Gehazi was supposed to receive a double portion of Elisha’s anointing which would be four times the anointing of Elijah. Imagine what such man would have done! He lost his destiny through covetousness. He got leprosy in place of spiritual power.

2 Kings SOS-17; 20-27: And he returned to the man of God, he and all his company, and came, and stood before him: and he said, Behold, now I know that there is no God in all earth, but in Israel: now therefore, I pray thee, take a blessing of thy servant. But he said, As the Lord liveth, before whom I stand, I will receive none. And he urged him to take it; but he refused. ANANIAS & SAPHIRA

They were the first couple in the new testament to fall prey to Satan’s attack on destiny. There was a conspiracy to lie. They lied, one after the other and died in that same order. They wanted to gain recognition and reputation from the apostles. They lied against the Holy Spirit and lost their destinies through falsehood, deceit, hypocrisy, lies and fraud. Many have likewise lost their destinies right in the house of God. I pray you will not miss your destiny in the name of Jesus.

Acts 5:1-10: But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession, And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to It, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles’ feet. But Peter said, Ananias, why hash Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land? Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God. And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things. And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out, and buried him. And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in. And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much. Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out. Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband.

When your destiny is considered very risky

When the enemy realises he cannot kill you

When your spiritual hand is already on the neck of the enemy

When the eagle of your destiny is beginning to fly

THE ENEMIES OF DESTINY

SIN

The major enemy of any destiny is sin.

Proverbs 28:13: He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

Sin in any form is a destroyer, Any known sin in your life will make it impossible to fulfill your destiny. I challenge you to repent, give your life to Jesus and start living a holy life as a solid ground to the fulfilment of your destiny. Jesus said “without me, you can do nothing”. “ye must be born again” so that everything about you becomes new.

IGNORANCE

When you don’t know about your destiny, you are likely to abuse, pervert and forfeit it with your own hands. It’s like the story of the man who had the largest diamond field in the world, but sold it because he didn’t know what he had.

HOUSE HOLD WICKEDNESS

“A man’s enemies shall be those of his household.” Those who sold Joseph into slavery were his brethren. The man, Cain, that killed Abel was his brother. The man that gave Jesus a kiss of betrayal and death was his own disciple.

WITCHCRAFT ATTACK

No nation is free of witchcraft. It is all over the world. What the devil does is to package the witchcraft in an environment to suit the culture of the people there.

FAMILIAR SPIRITS

If you have been seeing imaginary friends, dead relations, or have a name after a dead relation or parent, you need to be delivered. You need to pray because there is a familiar spirit following you.

SATANIC ALTERNATIVE

The devil provides an alternative to people to abandon the track of their destiny fulfilment. When that happens, original destiny can never be fulfilled. I pray the Lord will re-schedule you in the name of Jesus.

DECEPTIVE FAILURE

This is when people try a thing and give up after initial failure. It is Satan’s work. That you failed in your first attempt in the part of your destiny does not mean you can never succeed.

ABANDONMENT

There is a spirit that makes people to abandon their projects of prosperity, They abandon the project that will move them forward and go back to the one that will retard, and cause them to retrogress in life. Many people don’t get far in their projects of fulfilling their destiny. They often realize it too late to come back to it.

EVIL PROMOTION

You can be promoted out of your destiny. I have friends that have been promoted to the positions of bishops now, which has become their undoing. You can be promoted in such a way as to speed past your destiny.

GIVING HEED TO SEDUCING SPIRITS

False prophets deceive and false prophecies mislead. Be careful who you listen to that claims to be speaking in the name of the Lord.

WRONG PROPHETIC CONSULTATION

Some people will never take any step in life except they consult with prophets who would tell them the mysteries ahead of them. In most cases, the prophets gain access into their lives and make them forfeit their destinies.

I had a friend who hated mathematics with perfect hatred when we were in school. He loved accounting, economics, and others. His mother took him to a prophet who said he saw him becoming an engineer. He got confused because of his hatred for mathematics. He’s still where he’s always been, even till today.

WRONG MARRIAGE

The second thing worse than hell is wrong marriage. Only one blow from a wrong marriage can sink the whole destiny of a man or woman.

EVIL COMPANIONS

Your friends determine your kind of a person. “show me your friends, I will tell you who you are”

EVIL FOUNDATION

If your root is planted in idiolatry, demon worship and all fetish things, it will aﬀect your destiny. “If the foundation is destroyed, what can the righteous do”.

The steps to take in dealing with the enemy of your destiny are:

Give your life to Jesus.

Identify the enemies of your destiny that are particularly against you.

Wage war against the enemies of your destiny.

Re-possess your destiny from the hands of the enemy.

Barricade your destiny from the touch of evil forces.

I am sure you are ready to pray. The enemy has scored too much victory against you, it is time to fight back, recover and repossess all.
