CASUALTIES OF LEVIATHAN

We are dealing with a very serious topic now, and I will like you to become charged by the Holy Spirit.

Let your spirit be kindled by the fire of the Holy Ghost as you take on this prayer point, Holy Ghost fire, charge the battery of my life, in the name of Jesus. I plead the fire in the blood of Jesus.

Let us pray. Wonderful God, we thank You for opening our understanding. Thank You because You have a great and wondrous thing to do in this message. Therefore, Lord, as the reader handles this message, let the reader be able to approach the throne of grace by the blood of Jesus. Let him obtain Your mercy at the time of need. Visit the reader by Your mercy, in the name of Jesus. .

All those things that have been roaming about in the garden of the reader, marching in pride and boasting like Goliath, be dismantled, in the name of Jesus. I come against all the boasting and bragging powers. O Lord, let them know that You are the King of kings and Lord of lords. Let God be God in the life of the reader, in the name of Jesus. Thank You heavenly Father, in Jesus’ name we pray.

The topic of the message in this chapter is “Casualties of Leviathan.” The word Leviathan appears to be strange in the topic, but it shall be made clear as we go along. But before we continue, you need to pray against a particular group of spirits found in Psalm 144:7.

Send thine hand from above; rid me, and deliver me out of great waters, from the hand of strange children.

What does it mean by strange children? Strange children are the representatives of power of darkness and they draw their powers from the kingdom of darkness.

Therefore, you should pray fervently like this,

Every strange child, in my family, I bind and cast you out, in the name of Jesus.

Why didn’t the Bible call them strange adults? Because the enemy knows this is the first area that can be quickly suspected hence he tends to behave, talk and move like a child, when he is all the same devastatingly dangerous. By so doing, they have destabilised many lives. Pray like this.

I refuse to be destabilised by strange children, in the name of Jesus.

It talks about strange children from great waters. The truth about human beings is that they are almost hundred percent water, seventy percent of human’s body is water and the greatest threat to man’s existence is still water. Water related problems have destroyed many things in the lives of men. The origin of sexual lust is from the water, the political manipulation of nations, leaders and kings is from the water.

The powers we are addressing now are from the water. Technically, it is water that decides the lives of men, that is why God Almighty in His infinite wisdom has to raise water to counter water. He says, “….he that believeth in me, according to the scriptures, out of his belly shall flow, rivers of

Jiving water.” This is referring to another water.

When the rivers of living water is in you, then all negative things being offered by water spirits cannot sink you, because water cannot sink water. Confess like this: “I refuse to sink in the name of Jesus.” When you understand the mystery of water, of heavenlies, earth and elements, all the witches and wizards are finished!

WHAT IS LEVIATHAN?

We have a detailed knowledge of it in Job 41:1-10,

Canst thou draw out leviathan with an hook? or his tongue with a cord which thou lettest down? Canst thou put an hook into his nose? or bore his Jaw through with a thorn? Will he make many supplications unto thee? will he speak soft words unto thee? Will he make a covenant with thee? wilt thou take him for a servant for ever? Wilt thou play with him as with a bird? or wilt thou bind him for thy maidens? Shall the companions make a banquet of him? shall they part him among the merchants? canst thou fill his skin with barbed irons? or his head with fish spears? Lay thine hand upon him, remember the battle, do no more. Behold, the hope of him is in vain: shall not one be cast down even at the sight of him? None is so fierce that dare stir him up: who then is able to stand before me?

Also reading verse 34,

He beholdeth all high things: he is a king over all the children of pride.

Here God is describing Leviathan in the sea. No one is foolish enough to stir him up, once he is stirred up, he will cause a lot of terrible problems. You are enjoined to read the whole chapter very well because the whole chapter is devoted to this spirit called ‘leviathan’. We are told in the last verse that leviathan is the king of all pride.

We also read in Psalm 74:13-14:

Thou didst divide the sea by thy strength: thou brakest the heads of the dragons in the waters. Thou brakest the heads of leviathan in pieces, and gavest him to be meat to the people inhabiting the wilderness.

In Isaiah 27:1:

In that day the LORD with ‘his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.

These three scriptures tell us about leviathan. It is the name of a demon that is much talked about in the scriptures. The word leviathan means crooked or twisted. The Bible calls it the piercing and crooked serpent. We should know that the Bible does not have useless information, leviathan is represented as a sea serpent, marine power with coiled abdomen.

It is a very large creature. The good Bible readers understand that God uses certain animals like snake, scorpions, frogs and goats to describe some evil forces. When it comes to leviathan no animals on earth can be used to describe it.

Its countenance is terrible. How do we deal with this kind of power which also comes from water. Like I mentioned earlier, there is water above and beneath as well. The human beings staying in the midst, have 70% of their bodies as water. The earth itself is two-thirds of water.

To deal with this power, let us make this statement very clear. There can be no freedom with sin in

the camp, in other words, if you are living in sin, no freedom for you.

For example, a bachelor and spinster living together as husband and wife cannot have freedom even though they come to the church meetings to pray, fire prayer, because sin is already in the camp. So, those who want to face leviathan should first and foremost ensure that there is no sin in the camp of their lives.

Beloved, don’t be deceived, if there is any sin lurking in your heart which you have neither confessed nor renounced, you will have internal bondage. You may attend a fellowship where they will calm your conscience down or you may consult a prophet or prophetess who may calm you with bathing soaps. It is possible for a prophetess to pray for you to enable you traffic in cocaine successfully, but you have internal bondage.

Therefore, the prerequisite for freedom is purity. You cannot beat it. The moment you are impure, the host of hell have a right to do whatever they want to do with that life. The prerequisite for purity is renunciation and turning away from things that defile.

The prerequisite for renunciation of sin is confession and the prerequisite for confession is conviction and understanding. Whoever comes to the house of God living in a deliberate sin, such a person either belongs to two things -a child of perdition or the enemy has finished him. We have a lot of people like this, they still commit sin while they are regular in the house of God.

CONDITIONS FOR TOTAL FREEDOM

So, we can conclude that the conditions for total freedom goes thus:

  1. Humility and absolute honesty with yourself and God.
  • Absolute willingness to confess and renounce all revealed sins. (It is very important to go through all these preliminaries before confronting the leviathan, for without taking care of this, we are joking).
  • When you know you have sinned against God. You quickly go before Him in all honesty and as you say you are sorry, pleading for mercy, He will surely pardon you as you find your lost tears back, then you are moving towards freedom.

But when your eyes are dry in spite of the horrible sin you are committing, it shows you are not ready for freedom yet. The times of ignorance, God winked at, but afterwards His eyes are now wide open.

  • Forgiveness of all who have offended you. No matter the offence and who has offended you, forgive them.
  • Renouncing all evil spirits that have been given ground.
  • Willingness to do your restitution when and where it is required. For example, if you have been working with a fake certificate, you should tell the truth to your employer. Return whatsoever you might have stolen to the owner. Are you a lady parading a sugar daddy, stealing all sorts of things, you must go and return them. Be a Zacheus, so that salvation can come to your house also.
  • Complete surrender to the lordship of the Lord Jesus Christ. Those are the steps you must take if you want to face leviathan.

The second aspect is that in the course of facing leviathan, you need to understand the nature of

serpents and how to be able to deal with those spirits, because leviathan itself is a serpent. It is a crooked and piercing snake, living in the great waters-both above and beneath.

The original meaning of the word serpent in Latin is serpere meaning to ‘creep’. Therefore, if you hear somebody praying that “anything creeping against me, fall down and die,” such a one is praying a great prayer. There are a lot of creeping things that affect people, of which serpent is one, scorpion is another. But Jesus says, “… behold, I give unto you power to tread upon serpents and scorpions and over all powers of the enemy, and nothing by any means shall hurt you.”

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE SERPENT

  1. A serpent lies on its belly either coiling, winding or twisting. You can command the ground to electrocute it.
  2. Many serpents hove flexible bodies which make it easy for them to coil round like a ball such that one may not suspect that such ball-like object is a serpent-a masquerading serpent! Imagine seeing a serpent crawling to reach the tenth floor of a modern sky scraper in a non-forest area, it is glaring that we are not talking of an ordinary serpent.

This was the experience of a sister, in her office at Marina in Lagos Island. Shortly after she got promoted, she sat down in her office one day, and suddenly felt something cold coiling around her leg and to her dismay, it was a serpent! She wanted to press the bell to summon her messenger, but later, she dropped the idea and commanded the serpent to get electrocuted.

As she swung into action, commanding the snake to be electrocuted, in the name of Jesus. She could see fear in the actions of the snake. The serpent eventually stretched out and died instantly. Close your eyes and pray thus; “Every masquerading serpent working against me, somersault and die in the name of Jesus.”

  • The eyes of serpents are always open. This suggests the activity of evil and ceaseless monitoring eyes.
  • Serpents also do have narrow forked tongues, it is like a fork which they repeatedly flick out, as they flick their tongues out, those ignorant of serpents may think they are just playing. No, but they use it to invite odour or things around to them. They simply use the tongues to smell things. This is why evil agents can programme them to go and strike a person; They easily trace and locate their victim through odour emitting from the clothes. It is just like a dog. A dog can easily identify ten people within a family by their odours, so if a stranger comes in, it will know that he is different.
  • A serpent can sometimes feign death. This indicates a high level of deception and lying.
  • It is fond of lying and it is highly deceptive.

A while ago, they sent a message to a brother here in Lagos that his mother was about to die, when he lingered, later they came with another story that the old woman had died. When the man heard this, he decided to go home, he became reluctant at first because he had been seeing the woman strangling him in his dreams, he always engaged in battle with her almost every night.

Then he left for home. He got to the village only to find the woman still alive! The woman then said, “I decided to cause you to come here so that I can issue my final curse on your head before I die.” Before the brother knew it, she had started raining curses on him and it was unfortunate that the brother knew little or nothing about warfare by then.

  • Serpents can live virtually anywhere in the globe. There are desert serpents. The fact that someone is poor, wretched, deserted and backward does not excuse him from being pursued by serpents. The notion that serpents should chase after the rich is wrong, serpents can still be on the neck of the poor, sucking their blood!

There are forest serpents too. For those roaming about in the forest of life, who find it difficult to know the way, even with their vagabond anointing, they can still be stricken by serpents. In fact, the most dangerous serpents are in the deep oceans, the most terrible and poisonous are right in the high seas, rivers, streams, lakes, lands, in the holes and trees – they are everywhere. They are different from other animals.

For example, you don’t find a bird living in water, but it is only serpent that lives everywhere. They are the ones you find both on the lands and in the water – every where! No matter where a person may be residing in any part of the world, a serpent can still be programmed to locate him.

I think you should close your eyes and pray like this:

Every serpent programmed against my life, be electrocuted by the fire of the Holy Ghost

  • But an interesting thing to take note in this discourse is that serpents are not found on very high mountains. They cannot go to the mountain, and that is why it is good to live a mountain-top life. That is why it is good to mount up with wings as eagles. It then means that if they are not found on the mountains, they are .very common in valleys. If your spiritual life is in the valley, you are then an easy prey for serpents.
  • Serpents do inject poison into their victims when they bite, if it is not quickly arrested, and the poison is allowed to circulate to the heart, the person dies. If a serpent has bitten a person, the poison may still be there right from the womb and if it is not evacuated, it will live with the person until he dies. It means serpents can bite from the womb and stay there. A poison is different from a demon, you cast out demons whilst you flush out poison.
  1. A serpent can go on fasting for three years, that is, it may not eat anything for three years. This is a challenge to believers who cannot even fast for one day.
  2. Serpents are very wary of the security of their heads. They can sometime coil into a ball with the head at the centre. They do coil around it at all the times. No wonder God says, “… it shall bruise your head…” This is because it is in this head that it has its brain, smelling tongues, poison tangs and the eyes, so, when the head is broken, it is finished. I pray that you shall break the head of your serpent today, in Jesus’ name.
  1. Serpents can spit venom into people’s eyes to cause blindness. That is why we sometimes hear that somebody sleeps only to discover he could not see again when he wakes up.
  2. Serpents do shed their skin occasionally, he abandons the old skin and one may be ignorant of the fact that he had changed from the old skin being looked at on the ground.
  3. Serpents also possess colours that merge their environment, and one may not know that there are serpents around. There are a lot of enemies like that they merge with their surroundings. For example, whenever people gather to revive a child that is gripped with convulsion in the neighbourhood, serpents are the early set of people to administer first aid on the child, whereas they are the very ones holding tight the lips of the child.
  1. Serpents can swallow their prey whole and can also eat them when they are still alive. They can open their mouths wide -their mouths are so elastic that they can swallow animals larger than their

own heads.

  1. Their stomachs and Intestines are specially constructed to contain bulky foods, meaning that a single serpent can swallow everybody in a family such that all the members of such family will be in the belly of such serpent. Everybody in the family will be poor while only the serpentine person, who is not a child of God will be rich.
  1. They can detect the exact location of their targets and accurately direct their attacks in the dark. They do this through the smelling of the heat produced by the body of the victim, the moment they discover this, they strike.
  1. Many serpents lay eggs and some carry pregnancy like human beings. They lay eggs on people’s lives and disappear. The eggs then begin to hatch eventually.
  2. Another striking thing to know is that, all serpents die when the temperature is too high.
  • They are also characterised with laying ambush for’, their preys so that they can chase and attack. They do coil round their victims in order to strangle and suffocate it. People who often experience horrible nightmares in their sleeps, who cannot move or speak, have been surrounded by python spirit – terrible and wicked spirit!

All the foregoing description are under the control of Leviathan who is their overall boss. He gives order to them and commissions them to go places and they must take permission from him. He has the record of people’s names. Close your eyes and pray thus, “Every evil register containing my name, be roasted by fire.”

WHAT ARE THE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE LEVIATHAN SPIRIT?

  1. Leviathan fears nobody as recorded in Job chapter 41.
  • It is a tough demon to cast out. You have to work very hard on it. Have you ever dreamt of seeing yourself in a congregation of serpents? It means that the spirit is already inside you.
  • It has the ability or capacity to stop the deliverance of a person. That is why a person attending deliverance becomes inconsistent during the programme. He even decides not to attend the programme again after attending for two days – Leviathan! For some, they suddenly fall ill and almost die on the very day they could have prayed the kind of prayer that could have touched the blood of their enemies – Leviathan!
  • It stops people from achieving spiritual growth.
  • It makes people unable to pray, read their Bible and meditate. He causes people to be absenting themselves from Christian meetings, he will rather keep them busy somewhere else.
  • Leviathan causes people to doze off or sleep during services. When they are giving messages or praying and you are sleeping, the force behind it is leviathan.
  • Leviathan makes ministers of the gospel to oppose deliverance. They keep on arguing that there is nothing like deliverance, there is no deliverance in the Bible. This is leviathan.
  • Family curses arouse leviathan. When there is a curse in a family, he would not want the curse broken.
  • Leviathan causes learning problem especially with children. It is the spirit of leviathan, if you find a child who cannot read or learn.
  • It causes painful sickness in the neck and shoulder makes it so stiff and painful.
  1. It produces false spiritual gifts and miracles.

I once had a friend who used to patronise false prophets. Any small thing, he made sure he went for consultation with prophets. He kept moving around in this manner until I intercepted him one day and said, “…but you are an educated fellow, can’t you read the Bible yourself and pray.” He was also fond of appraising which prophet could. see vision than the others.

He continued like this until one day, when something happened that made him stop all the useless consultation. He went to see an old man who prayed for him perspiring and as he dipped his hands into his pocket to bring out his handkerchief to clear his face, his charm dropped.

My friend saw the thing, so he politely excused himself to visit the toilet only to sneak away from the ‘prophet’. When he got to me, he was shivering and he asked me what I could do to help him because it dawned on him that all the ministration ever done by the prophet to him would adversely affect his life. It is leviathan manipulation, on those going to fake prophets and prophetesses seeking visions and satanic revelation, some had even killed their husbands in the process and vice versa.

  1. Leviathan propagates the false doctrine that a Christian cannot be demonised.
  1. Leviathan operates a high level of spiritual deception. One man used to hold crusades and was fond of arranging paid testimony givers who would come forward to give false testimonies. Afterwards, he would ask the people to empty their pockets for miracle of abundant finance. This is leviathan.
  1. Leviathan would dig its tail into a person’s life and wrap itself around its victim suffocating his life. It is the one causing heart disease.
  2. It stops spiritual growth and the gifts of the Holy spirit.
  1. It ruins nations. All nations surrounded by water have fallen under the hammer of Leviathan.
  1. It prisons the water and the ground.
  1. Leviathan prevents people from speaking in tongues.
  1. It attacks with all the characteristics of serpents as discussed earlier
  • It controls all the serpentine animals like scorpions, lizard and crocodiles.
  • It is Leviathan that empowers the human being to change, either physically or spiritually to become a serpent.
  • It despatches physical and spiritual serpents to people.

There was a boy sleeping in the midst of the members of his family who was visited by a mysterious Cobra, coiling around his chest and was ready to strike. The rest fled and left him alone in the room, but he woke up and addressed the snake, in the name of the Lord Jesus. As a result, the cobra fell down writhing in pain, the Holy Spirit told him to finish it up and he smashed its head, killing the snake, and this was what caused the whole members of the family to turn to the Lord. The power behind this snake is leviathan.

23. The wickedness of leviathan is unimaginable. It is one of the most powerful and wicked demons.

  • It counterfeits true light.
  • It can cause stagnation in the understanding of God’s word.
  • It can make people produce unholy prayer and praises.
  • Leviathan makes people act calmly and peacefully at church meetings but yell and scream outside.
  • It causes restlessness and sleeplessness and deep internal turmoil.
  • People who yield to Leviathan, often become stiff necked.
  • People yielding to Leviathan, are like those who have concrete thoroughly set in their ways.
  • They offer dry prayers, dead worship and impotent praise.
  • They counterfeit the glory of God.
  • They control the spirit of the snail, tortoise and crocodiles.
  • It is the king for the children of pride. All proud persons have leviathan spirit.

PRIDE

Kindly go through this Bible study on Pride.

  1. What it is

It is a sin. An high look, and a proud heart, and the plowing of the wicked, is sin (Prov 21:4).

It is hateful to God. (Prov 6:16-17) These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,

(Prov 16:5) Everyone that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished.

It is hateful to Christ (Prov 8:12-13) In wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions. The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

It defiles a man. (Mark 7:20, 22) And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man…. Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:

It is forbidden. (1 Sam 2:3) Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the LORD is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed.

(Rom 12:3,16) For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith…. Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.

It hardens the mind. (Dan 5:20) But when his heart was lifted up, and his mind hardened in

pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him:

It is a hindrance to seeking God. (Ps 10:4) The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.

(Hosea 7:10) And the pride of Israel testifieth to his face: and they do not return to the LORD their God, nor seek him for all this.

It is a hindrance to improvement (Prov 26:12) Seest thou a man wise in his own conceit? there is more hope of a fool than of him.

  • The spirit of pride often originates in

Self-righteousness (Luke 18:11-12) The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.

Religious priviledges. (Zeph 3:11) In that day shalt thou not be ashamed for all thy doings, wherein thou hast transgressed against me: for then I will take away out of the midst of thee them that rejoice in thy pride, and thou shalt no more be haughty because of my holy mountain.

Unsanctified knowledge Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth.

Inexperience (l Tim 3:6) Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.

Possession of power (Lev 26:19) And I will break the pride of your power; and I will make your heaven as iron, and your earth as brass:

(Ezek 30:6) Thus saith the LORD; They also that uphold Egypt shall fall; and the pride of her power shall come down: from the tower of Syene shall they fall in It by the sword, salth the Lord GOD.

Possession of wealth (II Kings 20:13) And Hezeklah hearkened unto them, and shewed them all the house of his precious things, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the precious ointment, and all the house of his armour, and all that was found in his treasures: there was nothing in his house, nor in all his dominion, that Hezekiah shewed them not.

  • Saints

Should not give way to it (Psalm 131:1) LORD, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me.

Should not respect proud people (Ps 40:4) Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.

Should weep for it in other (Jer 13:17) But if ye will not hear it, my soul shall weep in secret

places for your pride; and mine eye shall weep sore, and run down with tears, because the LORD’s flock is carried away captive.

Should hate it in other (Ps 101:5) Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour, him will I cut off:

him that hath an high look and a proud heart will not I suffer.”

  • Characteristics of the spirit of pride

It is devilish (1 Tim 3:6) Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.

It is worldly (I Jn 2:16) For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

It is in the lives of false teachers (1 Tim 6:3-4) If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strife of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmising,

It is in the bosom of the wicked (Hab 2:4-5) Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith. Yea also, because he transgresseth by wine, he is a proud man, neither keepeth at home, who enlargeth his desire as hell, and is as death, and cannot be satisfied, but gathereth unto him all nations, and heapeth unto him all people:

  • The spirit of pride leads to

contempt and rejection of God’s word and ministers (Jer 43:2) Then spake Azariah the son of Hoshaiah, and Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the proud men, saying unto Jeremiah, Thou speakest falsely: the LORD our God hath not sent thee to say, Go not into Egypt to sojourn there:

a persecuting spirit (Ps 10:2) The wicked’ in his pride doth persecute the poor: let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined.

wrath (Prov 21:24) Proud and haughty scorner is his name, who dealeth in proud wrath.

contention (Proy 13:20; 28:25) He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed…. He that is of a proud heart stirreth up strife: but he that putteth his trust in the LORD shall be made fat.

self-deception (Jer 49:16) Thy terribleness hath deceived thee, and the pride of thine heart, 0 thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, that holdest the height of the hill:  though thou shouldest make thy nest as high as the eagle, I will bring thee down from thence, saith the LORD.

(Obad 1:3) The pride of thine heart hath deceived thee, thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, whose habitation is high; that saith in his heart, Who shall bring me down to the ground?

  • Exhortation against the spirit of pride (Jer 13:15) Hear ye, and give ear; be not proud: for the LORD hath spoken.
  • The spirit of pride is followed by

shame (Prov 11:2) When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.

debasement (Prov 29:23) A man’s pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit. (Isa 28:3) The crown of pride, the drunkards of Ephraim. shall be trodden under feet:

destruction (Prov 16:18; 18:12) Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall…. Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, and before honour is humility.

  • It shall abound in the last days (2 Tim 3:2) for men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
  • There is a curse on it (Isa 28:1,3) Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, whose glorious beauty is a fading flower, which are on the head of the fat valleys of them that are overcome with winel . . .The crown of pride, the drunkards of Ephraim, shall be trodden under feet:
  1. They who are guilty of pride shall be

resisted (James 4:6) But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

brought into contempt (Isa 23:9) The LORD of hosts hath purposed it, to stain the pride of all glory, and to bring into contempt all the honourable of the earth.

recompensed (Ps 31:23)O love the LORD, all ye his saints: for the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer.

marred (Jer 13:9) Thus saith the LORD, After this manner will I mar the pride of Judah, and the great pride of Jerusalem.

subdued (Exod 18:11) Now I know that the LORD is greater than all gods: for in the thing wherein they dealt proudly he was above them.

(Isa 13:11) And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.

brought low (Ps 18:27) For thou wilt save the afflicted people; but wilt bring down high looks.

(Isa 2:12) For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low:

abased (Dan 4:37) Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.

(Matt 23:12) And whosoever shall extalt himself shall be abased; and he that Shall humble himself shall be exalted.

scattered (Luke 1:51) He hath shewed strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.

punished (Zeph 2:10-11) This Shall they have for their pride, because they have reproached and magnified themselves against the people of the LORD of hosts. The LORD will be terrible unto them: for he will famish all the gods of the earth; and men shall worship him, every one from his place, even all the isles of the heathen. (Mal 4:1) For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

11. Examples from the Scriptures

Ahithophel (2 Sam 17:23) And when Ahithophel saw that his counsel was not followed, he saddled his ass, and arose, and gat him home to his house, to his city, and put his household in order, and hanged himself, and died, and was buried in the sepulchre of his father.

Hezekiah (2 Chr 32:25) But Hezekiah rendered not again according to the benefit done unto him; for his heart was lifted up: therefore there was wrath upon him, and upon Judah and Jerusalem.

Haman (Esther 3:5) And when Haman saw that Mordecai bowed not, nor did him reverence, then was Haman full of wrath.

Moab (Isa 16:6) We have heard of the pride of Moab; he is very proud: even of his haughtiness,

and his pride, and his wrath: but his lies shall not be so.

Tyre (Isa 23:9) The LORD of hosts hath purposed it, to stain the pride of all glory, and to bring into contempt all the honourable of the earth.

Israel (Isa 28:1) Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, whose glorious beauty is a fading flower, which are on the head of the fat valleys of them that are overcome with wine! Judah (Jer 13:9) Thus saith the LORD, After this manner will I mar the pride of Judah, and the great pride of Jerusalem.

Babylon (Jer 50:29,32) Call together the archers against Babylon: all ye that bend the bow,

camp against it round about; let none thereof escape: recompense her according to her work; according to all that she hath done, do unto her: for she hath been proud against the LORD, against the Holy One of Israel…. And the most proud shall stumble and fall, and none shall raise him up: and I will kindle a fire in his cities, and it shall devour all round about him.

Assyria (Ezek 31:3) Behold, the Assyrian was a cedar in Lebanon with fair branches, and with a shadowing shroud, and of an high stature; and his top was among the thick boughs.

Nebuchadnezzar (Dan 4:30) The king spake, and said, Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honour of my majesty?

Belshazzar (Dan 5:22) And thou his son, O Belshazzar, hast not humbled thine heart, though thou knewest all this;

Edom (Obad 1:3) The pride of thine heart hath deceived thee, thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, whose habitation is high; that saith in his heart, Who shall bring me down to the ground?

Scribes (Mark 12:38-39) And he said unto them in his doctrine, Beware of the scribes, which love to go in long clothing, and love salutations in the marketplaces, And the chief seats in the synagogues, and the uppermost rooms at feasts:

Herod (Acts 12:21-23) And upon a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat upon his throne, and made an oration unto them. And the people gave a shout, saying, It is the voice of a god, and not of a man. And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost.

Laodiceans (Rev 3:17) Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

Leviathan has so many wicked children but the greatest of them is pride.

If you see a man boasting of being able to sleep with ten women per night, he is a causality of Leviathan.

I used to know a person who slept with three women on the same bed on a night without knowing that all of them were witches, so they finished him up.

How about pride of power? The bragging of “I will do this; I will do that.”

How about pride of wealth? They are the one who detest sitting in the church with the poor. They tend to create classes, but they forgot that there is no class in cemeteries and there is no class in hell fire.

There is no special earth to intern you at your death, it is the same earth. It is the same termites that will feed on your body, there is no Victoria Island termites, termites are termites!

How about hard heartedness, the self will, you say, “What I will do, I will do, nobody can change it, it is nothing but leviathan.

What do you think of proud look and all the spirit of contesting and argument?

The spirit that cannot keep quiet for another to express his opinion is leviathan. Nobody will give you a price or any trophy for winning an argument. If you resort to replying because somebody is talking rubbish to you, don’t you know that since the world began, men have been talking rubbish with their mouths, if all the rubbish that people say have effect, majority of people on the face of the earth could have become mad, because hardly can you see anyone that has never been called a mad person.

The vain imagination, impatience, disobedience, judgmental spirit, complaining, looking down on others, gossiping, laughing at others, fake comparison, swearing, criticism, selfishness, bragging, lying, exaggeration, laziness, vanity, corruption, proud-anger, messenger losing temper against your boss, tenants losing temper against the landlord. But now that a quit notice is given to him, he is writing prayer request.

Spiritual arrogancy, spiritual pride. You find it in statement like, “By the grace of God, I operate in the nine gifts of the spirit…” “… I am an apostle… ” Whereas nobody asked you this.

How about disputing and questioning. There are some people who are fond of asking questions even when there is no question.

What of rebellion, the pride of life, pride of the world, lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, unteachable spirit, intolerance, all the proud look and countenance, overdressing are all the works of leviathan.

HOW TO OBTAIN DELIVERANCE

How do we obtain deliverance from this terrible spirit? The following steps must be taken as I have said earlier.

  1. Repentance especially from pride etc.
  • Bind the leviathan from the heavenlies.
  • Cut off every linkage between leviathan spirit and you. Break it, because it may be controlling other things in your life.
  • Break any family curse
  • Dry up its waters as it is written in Jer.50:38 and Jer.51:36.

That leviathan in question possesses more than one head, we need to go after the head one by one, because each head represents each area of pride – a formidable deep area of pride in our lives. We have work to do because the activity of leviathan spirits are on the increase.
