Exhortation:

Beloved, we are in a spiritual battle. The forces of darkness, often symbolized by the dragon in scripture, seek to devour, oppress, and hinder the glorious destiny God has for us. But take heart! We are not defenseless. We have the power of the Holy Ghost within us, and the Word of God as our weapon. Today, we rise up in faith, knowing that greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world. We will confront the spirit of the dragon with the authority that Christ has given us. Let us be fervent in prayer and unwavering in our belief in God’s power to deliver us.

Confession:

Heavenly Father, we come before you acknowledging our weaknesses and our dependence on your strength. We confess that we have at times allowed fear and doubt to creep into our hearts. We confess that we have not always been vigilant against the subtle attacks of the enemy. Forgive us, Lord, for any way we have given the spirit of the dragon an inch in our lives, our families, or our nation. We now renounce every agreement with darkness and declare our allegiance to you alone. We are your children, bought with the precious blood of Jesus Christ. We confess that we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
