Exhortation

Beloved, the Holy Spirit is the very power and presence of God in our lives. He is our Helper, Comforter, Teacher, and Guide. To resist the Holy Spirit is to resist God Himself and to hinder the fullness of His blessings and power in our lives. Today, let us examine our hearts and ensure that we are yielding fully to His gentle leading. Are there areas in our lives where we are stubborn, unwilling to change, or deaf to the still small voice of the Spirit? Let us repent of any resistance and open our hearts wide to receive all that God has for us through His Holy Spirit. Let us embrace His promptings, His corrections, and His empowering presence, for it is through the Holy Spirit that we are equipped to live victorious and fruitful lives for the glory of God.

Confession

Heavenly Father, we come before You today acknowledging that we have, at times, resisted Your Holy Spirit. We have been stubborn in our ways, clung to our own understanding, and ignored the gentle nudges of Your Spirit. We confess that we have grieved You by our disobedience and our unwillingness to fully surrender to Your will. Forgive us, Lord, for every instance where we have quenched Your Spirit, disregarded Your warnings, or refused to step out in faith at Your prompting. We repent of our pride, our self-reliance, and our fear that has caused us to resist Your divine leading. Cleanse our hearts, renew our minds, and grant us a spirit of humility and obedience, that we may be ever receptive and responsive to Your Holy Spirit. In Jesus name, Amen.
