Exhortation:

Beloved, the Lord calls us to a life of absolute devotion to Him. Idolatry, in its many forms, seeks to steal our hearts and divert our worship. Whether it’s the worship of material possessions, the pursuit of worldly acclaim, or the clinging to harmful habits, any object or practice that takes the place of God is an idol. Today, we are called to break free from these chains and embrace the true freedom that comes from a pure and undivided heart. Remember, God is a jealous God, and He desires our complete allegiance. Let us turn away from every false god and embrace the living God who loves us unconditionally.

Confession:

Heavenly Father, I come before You in humility and repentance. I confess that I have allowed idols to creep into my heart, diverting my worship and affection away from You. I confess my love for things that are not of You, my dependence on things that cannot save me. I confess the times I have placed my trust in people, possessions, or positions rather than in You. I acknowledge my shortcomings and ask for Your forgiveness. Cleanse me from every form of idolatry, both overt and subtle. I renounce every agreement with the spirit of idolatry and declare that You alone are my God. I surrender all to You, Lord. In Jesus name, Amen.
