Biblical Exhortation:

Guard your heart, for out of it flow the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23). Your mind is a battlefield, but you are not defenseless! Philippians 4:8 gives us a powerful directive: “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if1 anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”2 This isn’t just a suggestion; it’s an active choice to cultivate a mind that is aligned with God’s peace and truth. When you intentionally focus on what is good, you create a stronghold against negative and intrusive thoughts.

Bible Confession:

I confess today that I have the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16). I bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). The peace of God, which transcends all understanding, guards my heart and my mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). I am not conformed to this world, but I am transformed by the renewing of my mind (Romans 12:2). I choose to think on what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, and praiseworthy.
