Biblical Exhortation:

Beloved, the word of God reminds us in Romans 6:12-13: “Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey its lusts. And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin,¹ but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.”² Let us be vigilant and resist the temptations that lead us astray, for we are called to holiness.

Confession:

Heavenly Father, we come before you acknowledging our weaknesses and the times we have fallen short of your glory. We confess the sins we have committed in thought, word, and deed, both knowingly and unknowingly. We have allowed the arrows of sin to wound us and lead us away from your perfect will. Forgive us, Lord, for our transgressions and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Help us to turn away from our sinful ways and walk in the light of your truth, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
