Biblical Exhortation:

Beloved, don’t let your heart be troubled by the envy of others. Proverbs 14:30 tells us, “A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones.” Instead of focusing on what others have, fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). Cultivate a spirit of contentment and gratitude for the blessings God has already bestowed upon you. Remember, true fulfillment comes not from outward possessions or achievements, but from a deep and abiding relationship with our Heavenly Father. Let your light so shine before others that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven (Matthew 5:16).

Confession:

Heavenly Father, I come before you acknowledging that at times, I have allowed feelings of envy and jealousy to creep into my heart. I confess that I have looked at others with longing and discontent, rather than with love and appreciation. Forgive me for these moments of weakness and for allowing these negative emotions to take root. I renounce every spirit of envy and jealousy in my life. I choose to celebrate the successes of others and to trust in your perfect plan for me. Cleanse my heart and fill me with your love, peace, and joy. In Jesus name, Amen.
